The noisy dirty members of the Boomers are somehow taken as representative of the generation. But the Boomers also brought us the conservative revolution of 1994, the Senate takeover of 2002 and the W victory of 2004. The conservative movement was started by the WWII generation but it has become the governing majority during the voting ascendency of the Boomers. Just something to think about when generalizing about a whole generation from the nasty behavior of a few.
The problem is that generally the wing of the boomers that leans Republican has the same authoritarian 'we-know-what's-best' and selfish 'give-us-our-check-we-earned-it' streak that the left wing has.
