I think this one qualifies for the dumbest poll of the year award! After you vote, you can leave a comment.

I know this is going to be an unpopular answer. But, is the Islamic relgion dangerous to world peace? No. But mutation and hijacking of the Islamic religion by terrorists who hide under the cloak of religion are VERY dangerous to world peace!

This reply on the vote page in this article is a test case in the ignorance and arrogance of the left:

Through time, more people have been killed under the flag of Christianity than any other religion. To those who view Islam as a "threat to our way of life", may I humbly offer that your closed, hateful minds are a much greater threat to your children's future than any religion. The world will know peace when we recognize that we are all children of the same God, no matter how we chose to worship Him. Jesus did not preach hate and fear, it's too bad our "leaders" do. -there are NO good Republicans

I could spend all day picking this apart but my favorite is how this "person" makes claims about Jesus not preaching hate and fear using the moniker "there are NO good Republicans."

LIBERAL News8 Austin

Since I have worked in Austin for over 30 years, the one thing I can say is, liberals rule this city, especially the TV news (HA! HA!) and paper.

I'm saying that the terrorists are not representative of Islam as a whole. Just as David Koresh and the Branch Davidians were not representative of Christianity as a whole.

I gave the following comment:

Islam has a world agenda to take over th world.

There are 17 conflicts taking place in the world each and every conflict has one thing in common - Islam is attacking it’s neighbors. From the Philippines to the Ivory Coast, including India, Thailand, Kenya, Croatia, Israel, Russia and other nations Islam is the aggresive terrorist reason behind the war.

I can point out Nick Berg, Paul Johnson, Margaret Hassan and the others who were beheaded for no other reason but not being Muslim.

Islam is the enemy of the human race. Try being a woman in an Islamic nation a dog or a cow has more rights than a woman. It is time the human race woke up before we all face the same situation that Van Gogh in the Netherlands faced – death.

Yes vote: 168 (61%)
No more than other religions 89 (32%)
No 19 (7%)

I especially like this one. Oh, those closed, hateful minds. If only the writer could appreciate the irony of her signature.

Have you read the Koran? No one denies that the terrorists are the Islamic fundamentalists, i.e. they practice the fundamentals of Islam, they practice what the Koran teaches.

If anyone is attempting to "hijack the Islamic religion," it's the ones who claim to be peaceful Muslims.
