There was only one leader in the Prez's meeting with the Canadian PM. His name is Bush.

It's LIVE on CBC Newsworld. He's suggesting that Canada says NO to the missile defense system and the house is booing him to the point where he can't speak. It's beautiful!

Here is the exchange between Bush and Layton last night at the dinner.
"Layton told President George W. Bush why a lot of Canadians don't like the idea of a missile-defence shield over North America.
Bush was not moved.
If there were no such thing as North Korea or Iran, Bush reportedly said, then there would be no need for missile defence. He seemed to like Layton's spunk, however.
As Bush started to slide away, to shake more hands among the three dozen or so high-ranking guests invited to the private reception at last night's gala dinner, he smiled and told Layton: "Every country needs a good lefty. ... We even have some in our country."
I watched W's speech this a.m. He seems to be at his best since he won the election. I don't doubt it at all. It is a huge myth that people "hate" W. Everyone I know, even those who do not agree with conservatism, like the man.
LOL...Two good reasons why my grandfather left Canada for the US some 90 years ago.

I heard most of his speech this morning .. he did good and got a few good laughs from his jokes
When I read the line about the leftys I just laughed and said to myself--"Thats my president, and thats why I love him--". He is never ever gonna back down, and now that he doesn't have to worry about re-election, he can relax and let his sense of honor AND his sense of humor out for the world to see!!!

I haven't been on-line much lately. What has been going on here at FR. Have there been derogutory remarks make about Canadian FReepers? If so, what about? They are no more responsible for all that goes on in Canada, as we are here.

For the record Judy Sgro (liberal minister of immigration) is being investigated for allowing a stripper who worked on her campaign to jump in line for a Visa into the country among other scandals.
Even better...last night at the dinner ex-PM Jean Chretien attempted to shake Bush's hand but Bush snubbed him and walked right by without so much as a glance.

Just a lot of people who read that all the DUers are going to Canada and the Quebec'ers don't like us, then they assume all Canadians are the same.
The liberal scandals here in Canada don't get reported in the far-left media very much. They get shoved under the rug as much as possible. The PM as well as Chretien and the entire liberal cabinet is being investigated in the largest scandal in Canadian history. It's called the Sponsorship Scandal where the libs pocketed millions of dollars for ad payments, etc...
