What are you using for e-mail, T/bird?
I've been using Moz 1.7 exclusively for many months. almost never use IE.
I guess the main reason I've not tried Firefox is the e-mail concern.
I've used Firefox since June, and really, seriously recommend that anyone else give it- or "just about anything besides IE" a try.
Bump
bttt
FF 1.0 is not the end-all of browsing. I wouldn't get too comfortable with it.
After I got home last night, I started playing around with Firefox. I liked it so much that I made it my default browser.
I'll probably give Thunderbird a try here soon.
Does Firefox work well with Windows 98? I'm not a computer geek so I'm leary about adding new things to my computer but I sure would like a faster browser.
I downloaded Firefox and T/bird this afternoon and am using both now.
Importing bookmarks and ad-book was effortless.
So far so good.
Yes, Firefox works very well with Win98. When you install FF, it will automatically import all of your Favorites from Internet Explorer into its own Bookmark folder. You'll still have IE as your default browser while learning to use FF, which won't take long. I recommend getting accustomed to FF just as it is, then add whichever extensions that you think you'll use. IE and FF can be open and running simultaneously, without conflict.
See Free Download in the top right corner on the following web page - http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
Thanks, I'll give it a try.
