You're right about La Raza, MALDEF, and LULAC. They don't really care about America. They're out to advance the Hispanic agenda only. To heck with the overall good of America.

Bush either has a 'deal' going with Fox or a giant mindblock on this issue. We, the people, mostly all want border control!

WRONG! Currently the majority of Americans were born here. Not since about 1780 has there been more immigrants then native born. This is part of the lie that we are a country of Immigrants. Also if your statement were true how do you explain the high prison population of ILLEGAL immigrants, who are also drug dealers, and criminals of all types.

Shouldn't you be over on the democrat's board?

I don't know, newbie. Ask JimRob about that. If he (or the mods) thought I was a liberal, I wouldn't be here.

In what way. I don't necessarily disagree, but I hear a lot of talk about the "Religious Right" without what it is.

Some (and certainly not all) members of the religious right seem to support increased government intrusiveness. I am certainly not opposed to people making an argument in favor of an improved moral climate in this country. I get off the ride when they propose using government to impose such increased morality.

As an example, some Freepers have come out in favor of re-criminalizing consensual same-sex sodomy. As another example, a friend of mine works as a prosecutor over at DOJ, dealing with child porn cases. During the Ashcroft years, prosecutors were pulled off of child porn cases to prosecute "simple" obscenity (porn involving consenting adults that's more extreme than the mainstream stuff).

I predict that this thread will be excoriating the fact that President Bush is in fact a Mexican National, related to Vicente Fox and bent on merging our two nations, if not disbanding America as we know it

Loosen your tinfoil hat. Whatever good points you've made vis a vis illegal immigration get blown away when you make nonsensical statements like this.

I too wish Bush wasn't the 1st Mexican POTUS...but, alas, we must deal with the facts.

On that, I agree with you.

That said, I oftentimes get lumped in with the "Religious Right" because I am pro-life and pro-2a.(For some reason, gun issue gets thrown in there)

Hopefully the conservative (R)'s will continue to show some fire on this issue.

I think the president would be incredibly stupid to keep pushing his illegal amnesty proposal.

I was born on Guru Nanak's GURPURAB(birthday) in the year 1979. MY family, all of the devout SIKHS, all went to local CATHOLIC schook and had very good relations with the local CATHOLIC church. The CATHOLIC preists of our local church at that time gave me the name NANAK.

I love that story!!!

There was a Sikh family that ran a 7-11 near me. (Cambridge Massachusetts) They were so nice that they allowed some of the more civilized street people (bums) hang out in their store in the late hours of 2AM-6AM.

One night at 3AM I wandered in there as the grandfather Sikh was imparting some timeless wisdom to one of the street people. "What you cannot cure you must endure". He sure looked like a wise guru with his turban and his sage advice.

Unfortunately neither party puts national security above
the threat of out-of-control borders. Between the Dems who
want the votes and many Republican businesses who want the cheap labor this (not Social Security) is the third rail in
American politics. That's why the so-called Intelligence
Reform Bill is a joke. PC comes before common sense and the
very real threat of terrorism. Tancredo is right! Also, I
suggest you read Victor Davis Hanson's "Mexifornia." The
damage goes to the heart of the educational, health care,
and social services syatem in the U.S. -- even above and
beyond the real possibility of terrorist infiltration.
