Merry Christmas to all and especially those at the DU. Oh, that's right, they hate Christmas taking the lead from Maureen Dowd.

Official DU response (hang on, I hafta wrap my mind around this):
F*** Ohio and F*** Blackwell and F** the smirking chimp!! WE know Kerry really won in a landslide and that BushCo and KKKarl Rove and Halliburton and Diebold FIXED and RIGGED the election! F*** 'em all! We are DU and we will not be denied! Get Bev Harris on the phone and send a whole bunch more money! On second thought, F*** Bev, too!!!"

I'm sure the DU folks are demanding a recount in the states Kerry won over Bush by a smaller margin than Bush won Ohio by. /sarcasm
To: Conspiracy Guy
Surely they need to count them 10 or 15 times! Read an earlier threat that informed that they have till tomorrow to finish the recounts, Supreme Court ruling from 2000.

That's why the ""count every vote" spiel is so specious

Talk about a thankless job. Being the secretary of state for the state that puts a Repbulican over 270 electoral votes!!

I have ascertained that discriminating taste has never been a hallmark of DU's posters. :-)

Well if they did their exit polling in Austin it maybe too close to call by their models.
To: mainepatsfan; andyland
Just for the record, I made that up myself. But I apparently have captured their essence fairly well, nu? :-)

"The 2000 Florida recount was also administered by a Republican secretary of state, Katherine Harris, who is now a member of Congress."
What POSSIBLE reason could there be for including this tidbit of info- other than outright liberal bias? IF- Ohio had been like Florida in the closeness...the recount disaster etc...then it would have been germaine to the article.
God I detest the media.

No different than Al Gore only wanting to count votes in Democratic counties back in 2000. Funny what happened in Florida the last two times they voted statewide for a Bush. Two big Bush victories!!
