Special Ticket Discount and General Funds for the Free Republic W2 Inaugural Ball
Secure Server Donation Page ^ | December 7, 2004 | Jim Robinson

Special Ball Ticket Discount Fund:

I've received several inquiries regarding a special ball ticket discount fund for people who may wish to donate to help someone else attend the ball who might not otherwise be able to attend. If you would like to make a donation that will help someone else attend the ball, please use our regular secure server donation (https://secure.freerepublic.com/donate/) page. If you have someone special in mind, please indicate in the comments area of the donation page the screen name of the person you wish to receive a discounted ticket and we will alert that person via FReepmail. If the person declines or otherwise cannot attend the ball we will notify you and allow you to designate a second person and or we can make it available to someone else. Also, please let us know if you wish your screen name to be disclosed as the donor, otherwise it will remain anonymous.

General Ball Fund:

We also have a general ball fund. This fund will be used to help offset additional ball costs such as complimentary tickets and possibly travel and lodging for band members and other invited guests who may require it, and or to offset other ball overhead expenses. If you would like to donate to this fund, please do so on our secure server donation page and indicate "General Ball Fund" in the comments field.

Thank you all very much!

Hope to see you at the Ball!!

We'all will definitely be there. We're bringing 11 adults and 2 children to the ball from our neck of the woods!

It's going to be so much fun!

Woo hoo!

We have incoming:

$25 from New Mexico - "For the Ball expenses. Wish I could be there."

$100 from California - "To be used for the ball as needed."

$100 from Pennsylvania - "General Ball Fund I won't be able to attend due to work; hope you all have a blast."

$175 from New York - "To sponsor Gen. Tommy Franks"

$20 from Maryland - "Here's towards someone to go to the Freeper ball. Can't go myself, but I can certainly help someone else along. If the general FR fund is a better place for this, please put it there. You guys are amazing. Thanks!"

$50 from Indiana

$20 from New York

Plus a couple more mail-in pledges.

Thank you all very much!!

Kristinn: Looks like you need to add General Tommy Franks to the invite list! There's a ticket here with his name on it!

Wonderful! It'll be nice to see you again... Hopefully we'll be able to find you and your family in the FReeper crowd! Will you be attending CPAC 2005? We'll be there too.

Woo hoo! Just heard back from Kristinn. He's talking to the people at Walter Reed. Sounds like we may be able to invite some of the recovering soldiers to the ball. Will know more later.

This ball is going to be the best of all the inaugural balls.

Thanks, Jim.
