"If there's no border security there is nothing "intelligent" about the bill. "

That sentence makes no sense.

But the bill passed did include some border security related provisions such as doubling the current number of border patrol guards and using unmanned surveillance vehicles on the borders.

I've long ago given up on Cali, but here's what Im going to do. In another 3 weeks, im forever leaving this sewer for a better place, called Utah. Im selling all of my Ca fixed assets (read properties) and outright buying a very nice, brand new house there. I'll have no mortgage and no car payments on two new vehicles. Im also going to start building my airplane.

It makes a hell of a lot more sense than someone who thinks illegals jump over the fence into LA!

I'm aware of what the bill said and didn't say. Now let's just see if they're "allowed" to use that extra manpower without the piss 'n moan faction getting their tights in a twist.

You consider yourself something of an ex-pert, tell me, will they be "allowed" to do their jobs, oh say, maybe 10 more miles inland? Gosh! THAT would be bold! That would put us damn near half way to Sacramento!

"You consider yourself something of an ex-pert,"

No I don't, but I understand the English language well enough not to be scammed by people like Buchanan and Tancredo.

I read enough of the 9/11 Commission Report to know that Sensenbrenner's drivers license provision would not have prevented any of the hijackers from getting licenses because they all entered legally.

As a lifelong Californian I can tell you that when I started passing out petitions to recall Davis, many lifelong Californians told it would never be done, a recall had never been successful.

Where do we send these?

It's at the bottom of the petition. Thanks for being part of this! I sincerely mean it.

I had them mailed to me several weeks ago. Signed, sealed and delivered them already. I sent back 4 completed petitions and have more on hand that I am circulating.

It's either this, or pitch forks and torches.

Thanks!

Time to take matters into our own hands instead of leaving it in the hands of our elitist, corrupt politicians.

Unfortunately, there is little else left except civil war.

Thanks for responding.

" It's okay, dalereed would understand."

No one is irreplaceable including you, me, or the President.

I've lived in L.A. or Glendale for almost 70 years, part time in Oceanside in the last 10 and my family has been in So. Cal. for over 150 years so I was here during the riots and my family was here during the Chinese Massacre.

My children are irreplaceable, and if you come around my neighborhood at the head of a lynch mob looking for victims, be prepared to leave feet first with a hole in your forehead at least .30-06 in diameter.

And what lesson would that be?

The lesson? That it is absolutely insane to continue to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result. Why don't you try to funnel your hate for these immigrants by trying to elect some people to congress that actually support your agenda? The federal government supremacy in matters of immigration is well well settled law, yet the hooligans on your side throw a tantrum every time a federal judge boots one of your silly amendments out the door.

"Why aren't we enforcing our current laws?"

That's the question in everyone's mind.

"Who says we'll enforce any new laws?"

There's always hope. sigh....

Don't presume my agenda. No hate involved, just a healthy dose of self defense for our society. Read the rest of my comments on this thread to see my response to hooliganism.

Note that I'm not arguing Federal supremacy WRT immigration, but I am disputing the Feds right to determine who benefits from State administered programs. This was not adjudicated after Prop 187, and needs to be pursued and Arnold won't unless his hand is forced.

I am also advocating suing the Feds for violating their constitutional responsibilities WRT immigration. They are failing to enforce their own laws, and at the same time, requiring the States to pick up the tab for this failure.

As far as voting to elect people to support my agenda, incremental progress is happening. Let's see how Federal Judicial appointments go this term. A conservative USSC would go a long way, here. However, the only way to do anything but the status quo in gerrymandered California is through the initiative process.

Maybe you weren't around in L.A. during the last set of riots, but I was. Vigilante "justice" consists of pulling people from their cars and bashing their heads with cinderblocks.

You seem very confused.

Everyone knows that had nothing to do with justice, vigilante or otherwise. Even the rioters and innocent neighbors knew that.

Actually vigilante justice has it's place and probably has kept this country intact, since the police cannot protect you or me.

To prove this, look no further than the LA riots you mentioned, when the police drove away from the sound of the guns, and the Koreans and others, came out in force, with their own firearms and saved their homes and businesses.

This my friend, was vigilante justice, and it worked quite well. The people had no choice but to take the law into their own hands. Off the record, even LAPD completely agrees.

No, that is self defense. And quite a different thing than dalereed was advocating in post #52. What he was suggesting is that we could solve illegal immigration with a few "Chinese massacre" style lynchings. How would that morally differ from what "Football" Williams inflicted with a cinderblock?
