Senator Reid believes Justice Thomas does not have the intelligence to be on the Court. This following the ruckus over claims Condi neither has the ability nor intelligence to preside as SOS. Interestingly, incompentency only being leveled at black nominations to each position.
Do I believe Reed wants to lynch blacks? No. Do I believe he wishes to sabotage the ability of BLACK conservatives to arise to high position because it could harm their hold on the black populace as a solid voting block? YES.
Senator Reid seeks the defeat of Justice Thomas based partly on ideology and partly on race because it conflicts with political interests. IMO, this makes him a racist.
Was Mr. Rogers a racist?
I'm from Nevada. Policy wise Reid is just as bad as Daschle, even worse, in so many ways. But Dashle was effective in pushing his agenda while Reid will be eaten alive in the long run.
