The same Bravo that brings us Queer Eye for the Straight Guy among many other in your face liberal agenda programs? Now why would anyone expect anything else from this group?

I remember years ago when it first started I could occasionally catch an opera or other worthwhile cultural program, but since the gay liberals hijacked the channel I never watch it.

Don't you know Bravo is the network that shows Queer Eye and reruns of The West Wing? That alone should tell you all you need to know. Finally it is also home to THE WORLD'S GREATEST GAS BAG - James Lipton!

I think Bravo is run by NBC.

I've never watched anything on Bravo; all of their shows sound pretty alien. But thanks for warning us about this "Christmas Special". The title sure sounds innocent enough; you'd think it would have been an uplifting celebration of the meaning of Christmas.

Fortunately you can get all the classic Christmas movies/shows on DVD for cheap money. I just got the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol for $9.99 on DVD and I can watch it whenever I want with no commercial interruptions. I have about 10 other Christmas classics in my DVD collection already. Who needs TV?

If you have a "parental control" device of some kind which you have to enter a code to access a blocked out channel(s), then pull up the option screen where you enter the parental code to block out the channel, close your eyes and punch in some numbers at random. Then email the station and tell them you can no longer watch their channel because you find it offensive. Plus you don`t know the code you punched in so you can`t change your mind.

I have several stations blocked out on my cable box. All MTV and VH1 channels, Bravo , Oxygen , E ! , Style , WE , and BET .

At one time or another something was on one of these that ticked me off and that was that.

You can also block out specific programs on most of these devices.

Have Yourself a Very Merry Christmas, kattracks!

Despite Bravo and ACLU and all that are so offended by the mere mention of the happiest greetings of all...Merry Christmas! Celebrate and make very merry!

You know better, though.....Bravo is notorious for its ultra-left bent. Gay=good, everything else=bad. Not worth watching on their best day.

Kat.....that's why your cable provider has 500+ channels. :)

We used to get Bravo but the cable co replaced it with Sci Fi, for which I was glad,

but, I did want to watch this Christmas special...it sounded neat. glad I missed it now.

Saw it too - talk about mean-spirited - the worst was some never-heard-of gay complaining that the women in the King family used to have big hair on their Christams specials - real trash TV.....

The more they slap Christians and Christmas around, the more we are gonna vote, and we have kids coming up also that know the score despite all their best Marxist efforts in the public schools.

So write to them and tell them how much you hated it.

I don't get Bravo, but it is one I warned my daughter about - they have Dish network. Somewhere on FR(?), it was mentioned as the gay network. I only watch Fox News, and 2 or 3 programs on nbc (my soap, Crossing Jordan, and Third Watch).

I know how you feel kattracks. Hope venting helps ;^)

The teevee was co-opted decades ago by evildoers. It has only gotten worse in the intervening years. I've run out of room on my tagline, but Bravo is there in spirit.

Really... I actually found it to be quite interesting. I thought it was interesting to see what really went on behind the scenes on Christmas specials. Also I thought it was quite balanced. People gave their honest opinions about Christmas Specials past and praised a lot of them. Most people talked about how much they loved Charlie Brown Christmas and some of the other animated specials. They really praised Bob Hope and his efforts at Christmas time. They also lauded the duet between Bing Crosby and Ziggy Stardust. They talked about classic, timeless performances. Also, when they were commenting on "It's A Wonderful Life" they made the point that though most people say they hate Christmas Specials, in the end, they end up watching them, crying, and enjoying them in the long run.

I walked away from the program with a smile and also a better understanding of the history of the American traditions of Christmas.
