Real "secure border", huh?

Ilegals showing their love

The border in AZ. Three years after 9/11. Does that look secure?

12,000 illegals coming across the Mexican border, per day, this year.
That seem like an improved immigration policy to you?

"Cocaine Alley"

CRIME VICTIMS OF ILLEGAL ALIENS

The murder of Kris Eggle (see the separate page of collected articles), a park ranger in the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument in southern Arizona on August 9, 2002, was little noted by the media, although the press has paid considerable attention to the deaths of illegal aliens on the border. By contrast, Ranger Eggle was shot down by Mexican drug dealers who were using Organ Pipe as a route for their smuggling. Only 28 when he was murdered, Eggle was a valedictorian and an Eagle Scout who joined the National Park Service because he loved the outdoors. (Organ Pipe is considered to be the most dangerous of the national park system: 200,000 illegal aliens and 700,000 pounds of drugs were intercepted at the park in 2001.)

If we give them all IDs, then they won't be illegal....

An open, unsecured border is the handmaiden of terrorism. And when our leaders fail to secure our border, they are doing the biding of Osama bin Laden.

We need to militarize the border.

And the answer to illegal immigration is very simple. DETER, DETECT, DETAIN, DEPORT.

"He says the Border Patrol is at the mercy of bureaucrats in Washington who either don't realize the extent of the terrorist threat or who choose to deny it. "

Hmmm...could that be ASSA HUTCHINSON?!? (see other threads below)

I really dislike this guy.

Here are some things the US must do:

1. Close border, institute real checkpoints all along the border with Mexico and Canada

2. Start a media blitz all over the US airways, radio, TV and newspapers, about how if you see illegals report them to the police. In addition, a campaign should be started telling businesses not to hire illegal immigrants as it hurts them (as they will be fined greatly if they do) and the fact it hurts the country as well.

3. In addition, as already mentioned, the US government should punish businesses who hire illegal immigrants

4. Start an amnesty whereas illegals and/or their employees come forward and the illegals are deported and the employers are not punished.

5. After that work to deport all illegals and punish the employers

6. There are big security dangers coming from these terrible borders and Americans will pay greatly in the future, have no doubt. You have no idea what kind of people may be coming in through that Mexico-US and Canada-US borders.

"If we give them all IDs, then they won't be illegal"

How are we going to confirm their identity when they are issued this "id" to non-citizens? Trust the Mexican birth certificates which are bought and sold for $20 on the streets of Tijuana or Juarez?

Good luck getting our Congress-critters to listen. They've been brainwashed by this "undocumented workers are only coming here to work in jobs that Americans don't want" crap. That nonsense ranks right up there with the "religion of peace" propaganda.

Or just build a 20 ft high wall, like the Chinese did, to keep out the Mongols...
But guys like Dane and bayourod are opposed to that.
Right guys?

Next step after illegal alien amnesty for Mexicans: open borders with Syria, Algeria, and Egypt.

Why don't we all go out and snap pictures of large groups of illegals gathered on street corners waiting for illegal work and post the pictures with the exact location here?

Two reasons:

  1. Law enforcement and the legislature still wouldn't do jack about it.
  2. The ACLU would sue your butt in a heartbeat for "racial profiling."

It isn't just about doing things to protect against illegals coming in. Its also about stiffening and actually doing something to greatly punish those who hire and give them cover in the US.

"It isn't just about doing things to protect against illegals coming in. Its also about stiffening and actually doing something to greatly punish those who hire and give them cover in the US."

I actually think a well-organized boycott against a major U.S. company that is caught employing illegals might really send a message. Not only to corporations, but also to our politicians.

I am also hoping that Hillary's musings on her "adamant" opposition to illegal immigration scare our political leaders into action. I'm not counting on it, though.
