(CNSNews.com) - The Department of Homeland Security is unfairly targeting Muslims, an Islamic civil rights group says, and on Monday, the group will host an "emergency town hall meeting" to discuss the situation.
The Los Angeles chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations has invited speakers from the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, FBI, and Justice Department to address the gathering.
Local attorneys and relatives of people detained by immigration authorities also will speak.
According to CAIR-LA, over the last few months, several Muslim religious leaders in California have been detained on minor immigration infractions and have been denied bail. According to their attorneys, the detained individuals have been in the country legally and have filed all necessary documents to maintain their status.
Dozens of harassment complaints also have been filed by American Muslim travelers. CAIR-LA said the incidents include being unable to remove their names from the 'No Fly List,' repeated stops and interrogations at airports, exclusion from entry to the United States, and revocation of visas for no stated reason.
"While we are all in full support of securing our nation and its borders, we believe the selective application of the law only reinforces the widespread perception that government officials are targeting Islam and Muslims," said Sabiha Khan, communications director CAIR-LA.
The Monday evening meeting in southern California is being organized by the following groups: CAIR-LA; The Southern California Civil Rights Coalition (CRC); Islamic Shura Council of Southern California;Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC); Free Imam Wagdy Committee (FIWC); Airman Halabi Justice Committee (AHJC); National Lawyers Guild (NLG); League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) - Orange County Chapter; Los Amigos of Orange County; Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA); and South Asian Network (SAN).

This is actually good news. See, it's muslims who are terrorising people all over the world in an organized fashion, not Swedes, Mexicans, Samoans,etc. Who knows, maybe the U.S. authorities are paying closer attention and doing a better job than we give 'em credit for.

We need to have 2 different types of lines at airports... one for Muslims, then one for Non-Muslims. The Muslims can get on board a Radio-contolled passenger jet just with a steele-bolted cockpit door just in case they try to take it over. All the Non-Muslims can get on board the other one.

What exactly is the problem?
CAIR has a lot to learn about PR in the US. They are doing all the wrong things.
Since Islamic law expressly prohibits submission to any secular non-Ismlamic authority, we need to officially declare that being a Muslim is a de-facto declaration of intent to overthrow the United States government. Thus, Muslims are by definition guilty of treason.
I would trust the Muslim who gave me the head of OBL.

Since 9-11, CAIR, a spin-off of the Islamic Association For Palestine, has seen three of its former employees indicted on federal terrorism charges.
Randall Todd "Ismail" Royer was sentenced to 20 years in prison on charges he trained in Virginia for holy war against the United States and sent several members to Pakistan to join Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Kashmiri terrorist group with reported ties to al-Qaida.
In a plea bargain, Royer claimed he never intended to hurt anyone but admitted he organized the holy warriors after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on the U.S.
After his arrest, Royer sought legal counsel from Hamas lawyer Stanley Cohen, who said after 9-11 he would consider serving as a defense lawyer for Osama bin Laden if the al-Qaida leader were captured.
Another CAIR figure, Bassem Khafagi, was arrested in January 2003 while serving as the group's director of community relations. The previous December, Ghassan Elashi, the founder of CAIR's Texas chapter, was indicted for financial ties to Hamas leader Musa Abu Marzook.
Current CAIR leaders also have made statements in support of Hamas and the domination of the U.S. by Islam.
This is a really good idea, if you add that the planes with the muslims will all fly one way to Syria.

Refusing to acknowledge the proper authority of a duly constituted government by any group is treasonous and thus no longer falls under freedom of religion. Of course any civilized nation should allow religous freedom to the greatest extent possible, but when one religion has the stated intent of taking over the government and dominating others by means of violence there seems to be a bit of a problem.
I understand the 'puter getting the hiccoughs, mine does so on a regular basis. Usually this results in my losing a really good post I had just written, but has also caused a couple of duplicate posts.
On a more serious note: I can not say the majority of Muslims, but given that the Muslim leadership has explicitly stated that their goal is dominance, I believe we can make a good case against them at least.
