Let's each sent them a check for 89 cents. It'll cost them about $3 to process it and pollute their data base. For some reason, I got on the ACLU's mailing list. The first letter I got from them, I sent back with a request to remove me from their mailing list. Since that apparently was interpreted as a request for more letters, I now stuff the ACLU envelope with letters from the RNC, Pacific Legal Foundation, and whatever other letters from more freedom-minded organizations that I happen to have laying around.
I realize such measures are almost meaningless, considering the millions donated by $oro$, but it still feels good.

This article touches on one of the biggest stories about the ACLU that has been spiked by the mainstream mediots. That is the ACLU's refusal of grants from the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations when they have to promise no links with Terrorists. That's it. Thanks for the article.

I missed it, what was the report?
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
Basically just went over the print report.

The point is that ACLU members did not choose to give up their privacy:
"The group's new data collection practices were implemented without the board's approval or knowledge and were in violation of the ACLU's privacy policy at the time, according to Michael Meyers, vice president of the organization and a frequent internal critic. He said he had learned about the new research by accident Nov. 7 during a meeting of the committee that is organizing the group's Biennial Conference in July.
He objected to the practices, and the next day, the privacy policy on the group's Web site was changed. "They took out all the language that would show that they were violating their own policy," Meyers said. "In doing so, they sanctified their procedure while still keeping it secret."

I suppose ACLU could stand for Always Curbing Liberities Unceasingly. I think they've 'jumped the shark'.

You know, if the ACLU actually defended civil liberties I would support them, but they don't. They are openly opposed to the first two amendments. (the freedom of religious expression in amendment I)

Use postal money orders, or at least 7-11 money orders.
Don't send them anything with your name or address on it.

It's NOT funny and hell yes it's true.

It was 4 years ago. I considered it unethical as well but the less waves you create the better off you are, especially being an outspoken conservative student at a Massive two sh*ts Law School.

I wouldn't have much luck, it was over 4 years ago and the ratio for liberals to conservative students was about 20-1.
