Saddams foreign minister may finger U.N. officials in oil-for-food scandal
Former Iraqi deputy prime minister Tariq Aziz was the sophisticated, intelligent face of a thuggish regime. He was known for his elegant English suits and a fondness for Cuban cigars.
(snip)
David Kay a former U.S. adviser in Iraq spent months questioning Aziz and others. He says Aziz quickly turned on Saddam and could testify at any trial.
"He talks about direct orders to murder, to assassinate, to kill," says Kay.

Oh Goodie!
why haven't any of these captives offered to give information about the WMD - where it was moved to, or buried, or who moved it - when they know this is the #1 piece of information we would be willing to deal for.
and to bring up a name from the past - where the hell is Al Douri? we never caught that SOB.
I can't wait to see him on the stand at Saddam's trial. Especially when the prosecutor asks him to point out the defendant and he points right at Saddam.
Al Douri--right. That's the one I want caught.
Dazize is still alive? I thought he died months ago.
Please please let him say Kofi Annan and Jacques Chirac!
Except, Azziz is such a notroius liar that even Bill Clinton uses him for mendacity counseling.
He'll flip like a pancake. Have the fork and syrup ready.....it's going to be a sweet ride.

Well after we wring everybit of info from him, I still say he should sit in prision the rest of his life.
This guy could have turned turtle any time over 20 years but chose to take the money and watch people die without giving a rip.
Now the Vatican is comeing to his aid. What's up with that?
The Vatican helped a lot of Nazi war criminals escape justice as well.
If I recall correctly, Aziz was the only Christian in Saddam's circle of advisors. I believe this news will put him in certain danger.
Wouldn't be surprised if they made sure he was heavily compensated for evidence of WMD.
I don't recall ever even hearing a solid rumor about Al Douri - its like he just dissappeared.
I killed him a bunch of times in Conflict Desert Storm.
Well after we wring everybit of info from him, I still say he should sit in prision the rest of his life.
I disagree! I think he should be released...into the loving arms of the Iraqi people.
BTTT!!
