Cokie Roberts Blames Michael Moore
newsmax.com ^ | 12/19/04 | unknown

Posted on 12/19/2004 9:47:41 AM PST by beyond the sea

Former "This Week" host and National Public Radio veteran Cokie Roberts blamed conspiracy filmmaker Michael Moore on Sunday for causing Sen. John Kerry to lose the presidential election.

"I think Michael Moore actually had a very major impact - a negative impact - on the Democratic Party," Roberts told NBC's "Chris Matthews Show."

"I think he exemplified all of the things that people hate about Democrats. And the fact that he was - it was a hate-America-first campaign and that hurts the Democrats every time."

Adding insult to injury, Roberts also contended that Moore's "physical appearance did not help."

Its not like it was Kerry's fault he lost the election. Kerry could have told Moore to pound sand instead of sitting him next to Carter at the DNC convention.

Like the tendency to blame someone else for one's actions? LOL. That's funny, so did John Kerry.

Adding insult to injury, Roberts also contended that Moore's "physical appearance did not help."

Moore must have known Cokie was going to smoke him, he shaved and cleaned up for the Tonight Show.

But, Cokie sweetheart, how 'bout your fellow newsie Dan Rather? Any opinion about how HE might have hurt your cause or do you think he helped?

While I certainly don't think Moore helped, the fact is that Kerry lost because he was a lousy candidate who waffled constantly and stood for nothing, and he was up against a candidate who took a firm stand and left little or no doubt about where he stood. Most people want a president who came make a damn decision and that clearly was NOT Kerry.

That alone cost them a ton of votes, IMO.

And what was he wearing at the time? Didn't he have his baseball hat on?

Yep, the #1 thing Americans hate about Democrats is that fact that Democrats hate America.

M. Moore sitting next to former President Jimmy Carter, while listening to Kerry's "Reporting for Duty" speech at the 'Rat convention in Boston was the clincher ... no question.

More self-delusion from the Leftist MSM.

They keep looking for scapegoats rather than walking up to the fact that Kerry and the DNC were absolutely on message and the American people saw the message clearly AND REJECTED IT.

The country has been going Rightward since Reagan. The 8 years of that buffoon intern-screwer was a result of his running a right-of-center campaign and appearing to be centrist (remember "triangulation?").

The Left just can't to seem to get over the fact that most of America doesn't like Socialism.

Speaking of "the tendency to blame someone" -- maybe while Cokie is playing the blame game, she might want to talk about John Kerry and his band of VVAW goons who had her late father, Cong. Hale Boggs, on their hit list!

I guess it's true that you can't see Cokie in mirror. At least she can't. If they ever start enforcing restrictions on voting by necro-Americans, Cokie's gonna need a doctor's note to vote. She could be the lead in "Night of the Living Democrats". She looks like a dead woman, and I don't mean a fresh one either.

Cokie Roberts with the vacant stare? That Cokie Roberts?

Truth to be known, young, fat people probably don't like old skinny people. So what's her point?

That the party she is in bed with, that she aided and abetted all these years, the party that nominated that tratorous imbicile, Kerry, and let it all hang out for all Americans to see, now needs a scape goat?

The bed she sleeps in with Soros, moveon.com, Kennedy, Hillary, Schumer, etal, is not now to her liking?

"Kookey" needs to get a life. No one is listening to her anymore.
