What is your opinion on Advil (or other ibuprophens)?

I take it occasionally for back pain, but when I do need it, I need three or four to do the job.

I hope you don't scare me, but I would appreciate your opinion!

Advil studies were reviewed again when this latest revelation was discovered today. Other than the potential for gastric irritation, & aspirin cross allergy, ibuprofen is considered relatively safe. Of course, always try to take the minimum necessary to achieve relief.

btw--I am a BIG fan of the Advil Liquigels. Fast acting! I haven't taken Tylenol in years, for a variety of reasons (it doesn't work as well, and that nagging concern about liver damage).

I take Naproxin, when the ketoprufin,(OrudisKT) and the Excedrin no longer work.

Excedrin is the only substance that has ever caused me any stomach problems.

Prolong use of Ibuprofens *can* harm the kidneys.

What is your opinion on Advil (or other ibuprophens)?

I take it by the truck load. I have had two knee surgeries, back surgery (before 30) torn up both ankles. I was promised a hip replacement in '84. Both of my elbows have different degrees of damage from sports. I have broken all 10 of my fingers.

I live on Advil. I walk half way normal after 4 Advils.I am worn out from the inside out.

MY opinion, after using it as a one a day multiple vitamin for over 8 or 9 years, it works for me for what ailes (sp?) me.

Now if I can figure out how to get my eyesight back, stop the vomiting and lower extremity paralysis and liver failure fixed, I'll be ok.........
