Here we go. I hate to tell her, but Rossi won two out of three.

This is Bunk. So now were are supposed to accept this 8 vote win from people who will recount until they get the desired result.
What is the next move now or is there one?????

Gee. Eight votes. And it's already, without question, a "win!"

What a happy day for liberals everywhere!

Whee!

Yep. She'll claim victory and say that we're partisan if we try anything. She's going to ruin that state. Glad I got out when I did. Too bad. It had potential at one time or another. Liberalism is far too infested though.

Earlier posts indicated that if a recount changes the results, the government pays the tab for the recount out there.

I guess that this means we go to a revote.

If true, the Republicans will probably argue the chain of custody of the newly found votes is tainted, since two counts showed Rossi to be the winner, and only the third recount with suspicious ballots swung the result.

Uh... the WA supreme court doesn't even rule on whether these ballots should be included until tomorrow...

So if they can't yet be counted how does anybody know this?

You're right. They should. But Rossi, the Republican, has taken two out of three. That alone dictates a winner in most sports games.

When Rossi was ahead by 261 votes and then 40-something votes, it was a "tie." Now that Gregoire's ahead by 8, it's a win. Okey-doke.

If Gregoire gets away with this, and when I encounter dems, in person and online, who say that Bush stole this past election, I'm just going to say to them, "Well, Gregoire stole the WA governorship, so we're even-steven!"

It was never in doubt. If it is close enough for a recount in WA state, then the Dems win period.

As an evil leftist once said, "It doesn't matter who gets the votes, what matters is who counts the votes."

They don't. They're probably running with it anyway and can quickly retract it if it goes the other way.

"Gee. Eight votes. And it's already, without question, a "win!""

No, no, no....according to Gregoire (after the machine recount)it's a tie. Rossi had a 40+ vote lead, but according to Gregoire is was a "virtual tie." So if she has "won" by 8 votes....then it, by her logic, is another tie.

Logical huh?

Well, if recent history is any barometer, they will not have the 'nads to take this to court, demand a recount, etc.

More than likely they will just cry.

We're not even steven. Bush never stole anything. He won three recounts. Gregoire, on the other hand, one the third recount quite suspiciously with questionable votes suddenly appearing as if Ali Baba had pulled them out of a hat.

Now come the Republican lawsuits to make sure every vote is counted like they were in King County. If I'm not mistaken, King County counted by a different set of rules....not allowed under the ruling of Bush v. Gore. I see this one tied up for a long time with Rossi eventually pulling it out.

I believe not; the restraining order prevents them from counting those. We may find out tomorrow if they will be counted later.
