Try this. What if I had made my original point, and no one had attacked me personally, or asked me any questions, or kept evading the facts while multiplying the irrelevancies and ad hominems? What really "killed" the thread, in your eyes -- my noting (once, at the start) my objections to "Festivus," my answering the question about this silly "G-d" thing -- or the attacks, and my not lying down and playing dead?

And if the latter... then I think you're blaming the wrong guy.
