NEW YORK - The owner of a popular bowling alley in Greenwich Village said Thursday his company is was severing ties with a group tied to the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and is returning its $1.3 million investment.
Arafat invested the money in New York-based Strike Holdings, owner of Bowlmor Lanes, through a holding company he created called Onyx Funds, according to Bloomberg Markets Magazine.
We are in the process of placing the funds in the amount they invested in escrow to be returned, Strike Holdings founder Thomas Shannon told The Associated Press in a telephone interview.
Effectively as of today the PCSC will have no investments in Strike Holdings, he added. The PSCS is a Ramallah-based holding company owned by the Palestinian Authority

However, they said Yasser could keep his shoes. They couldn't get the smell out.

LOL - Bowling With Yasser
A better idea would be to 'tank' the Company deliberately, thereby rendering the investment worthless... prepackaged bankruptcy, consultants fees, bonuses, sale to another party at distress price... No way should they simply give it back. He**, I'll take a 'success fee' of $1.3M for suggesting this.
well, if Yasser's got $799 million invested (as the earlier article stated) in various companies, the FBI was working on his group killing the Americans in Israel last year (IIRC). They could be declared RICO/Terrorist funds and a significant part seized.
Exactly. Don't give it back. What is the difference between "giving it back" and laundering the money. Either way it had a dirty start but goes back clean.
"They could be declared RICO/Terrorist funds and a significant part seized."
I suggested that on an earlier thread. We made a terrible mistake when we failed to bring that greasy goat humper to justice in the 70s. Unfortunately, after kissing Arafat's behind and giving him the Nobel Peace Prize, we pretty much gave up any option that held him accountable for his crimes.
LOL
the FBI was investigating the American's death over there, but I'd have fainted if Arafat had actually been extradited (not that he would have shown up).
This is disgusting, now we have to worry about patronizing an establishment funded by terrorist money.
