Skip to comments. Can Tucker Carlson Become an Impartial News Anchor? [Tucker to Substitute for Aaron Brown]
Posted on 12/23/2004 9:23:17 PM PST by West Coast Conservative
CNN has tapped its conservative commentator Tucker Carlson to substitute for Aaron Brown on its primetime (10:00 p.m. ET) program NewsNight next week, Daily Variety reported today (Thursday). CNN's move comes as Carlson is being wooed by MSNBC to replace Deborah Norville in her 9:00 p.m. slot. It also comes as Carlson's verbal slugfest with Comedy Central's Jon Stewart on CNN's Crossfire, the show Carlson currently co-hosts on CNN, was making many critics' lists as one of the most memorable moments in TV during 2004.
I don't get it. Are they afraid Tucker will be too liberal?
I agree.......Aaron is one of the sneaky ones that is so dead pan that I wonder sometimes if he has a pulse. He trys to be funny when reading the next day headlines but doens't pull that off very well..........any good conservative can see thru his B.S. instantly......all his questions are designed to get the interviewee to bad mouth the admin........
Sure was funny when he slapped down that moron John Stewart.
No, but then neither can anyone else. Objectivity or impartiality is merely a sneaky way of implying wisdom without saying it. Claiming to be wise leads directly to sophistry, and claiming to be objective is no different in effect.
Many things come to mind regarding Aaron Brown, but impartial is not one of them. Tucker Carlson does not amuse me, but he isn't quite the stick-in-the-mud Brown is. We can't set our goals too high for the Clinton News Network.
If there's anything worse than Sucker Carlson its Aaron Blown.
My tagline says it...........
Well, he ain't exactly a broken glass Pubbie. The very few times I've seen Aaron Brown he seems somehow weasely(to coin a phrase). I think it's really tough for a leftist to act neutral, and it shows up as them being uncomfortable in their own skin.
He's on CNN. Comeon! CNN has never heard of Impartial...or News for that matter. But they know Anchor, because they are sinking fast, thanks to Fox!
...that's why they call them "new anchors" - because they're not journalists. They simply read what the bosses tell them to read.
