24-December-2004: Iraq War Fighter Captain Rick: "Our Enemies are Using the (American) Media as a Tool Of War Against Us"
An American officer who fought his way into Iraq in 2003, during his first tour of duty is now serving his second tour of duty in Kuwait. Known to netizens as Captain 2Slick, he spends his days fighting the war and his nights fighting the injustices of the American media on his war blog <2slick.blogspot.com>. In this interview, he unravels the agenda-driven spin of the American media, many of who seem to view their blatant mismanagement of the war news as means to an end. The collateral damage that their efforts are causing is deadly to our war fighters and to our chances of achieving victory. Yet, what is truly history making about this interview is that it is unfiltered and direct.
TOPICS: Announcements; War on Terror
KEYWORDS: enemywithin; fifthcolumn; liberalmedia; waronterror
Excellent interview, good audio quality of In-Country Army Captain, who clearly says that US Media is out to lunch, and is skewing the real story in Iraq.
Must listen for all....
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Can't Miss Interview
Last night, I stayed up late and called a guy named Marshall Masters (of
YOWUSA) for a radio interview- his show is called
Cut to the Chase:
His site can only be described as "outside the box"- and our discussion was excellent. I enjoyed it (if I seem a little tired, it's because I was up way past my bedtime), and I thank Mr. Masters for helping to get the truth out. Please listen to it and let me know what you think.

I see your point, but the interview divulges nothing more than the incorrect slant that MSM has taken versus the "reality" of the troops in Theater...

Some powerful people in the MSM take communism, anti-americanism, and anti-semiticism very very very serious (no sarcasm intended).
President Bush and his administration is doing their part by IGNORING THEM. We are doing our part by revealing their evil intentions on the web and DESTROYING THEM.

I don't know about that--Greg Palcott (sp?) and Ollie North have done spectacular jobs in telling us how great our military is performing over there--not only in fighting the war, but in helping them to rebuild. If only there were some way to let just the good guys be embeds...I know, impossible.

The terrorist and the American media are comrads in arms.
They hate you, they hate me, they hate everything that is good and decent.

The MSM had one of the greatest successes of their career by destroying our efforts in Vietnam.
They are hoping to duplicate "Vietnam" in Iraq. For them, success is our defeat. Hanging is too good for them!

I'm listening to it now it's an awesome interview.
Pmsnbc and CNN basically are tools of the terrorists,
"they play right into the hands of the terrorists"
"the troops like Rummy they don't expect him to tuck them in at night." This guy is awesome.

...Funny, isn't it, how WALTER CRONKITE is now HILLARY's No. 1 TV Defensive Linebacker...
...after his having called for our Southern States to secede from our Union at a Year 2000 London World Conference..?
...While "2slick" was busy bringing Freedom to Iraq for the 1st time...
...WALTER CRONKITE was busy telling us to avoid watching Cable TV's 24/7 Coverage of "2slick" and just wait for the slanted Network TV News 1/2 hour programs to TELL you WHAT you were seeing instead as opposed to your seeing it all for yourself.

It is not the embed concept but the fact that the reporters are rooting for the enemy rather than the soldiers protecting them. They are looking for good news for the enemy.
We need a better way of vetting the qualifications of the embeds.
To: MilspecRob
MSM in 1970?????Yup, and a lot of the very same faces are still playing.
The Leftists took over the Journalism schools after they won the Vietnam War for Ho Chi Minh and have been graduating like-minded sychophants for decades now. You need look no deeper than the last election to get plenty of examples on just how biased they really are.

They took over lots more than just the journalism schools they are grabbing up every college they can and it takes years to re-introduce the truth to many graduates of these left wing colleges and universities. Huge problem in the country.

US Army Captain Rick (LIVE INTERVIEW)
"Our Enemies are Using the (American) Media Against Us"
This first became abundantly clear to me even before we went into Afghanistan.
The Los Angeles Times ran an article with descriptions of likely US agents (CIA?)
and the type and color of their vehicle after one of their reporters spotted them in
Afghanistan.
Tipping the hand to our murderous enemies and thugs is the fast-track to
accolades from your fellow journalists.
Getting a leader stung with a planted question is just icing on the cake.

My prayer is that Dubya and the "boots on the ground" carry the day.
And that eventually (two, five, ten years from now?) there will be an expose
that compares side-by-side the MYOPIC (more like lying, agenda-driven)
portrait of the journalists with the daily diaries and fact-based correspondence
of "the boots".
With the MSM suffering a little now (Rathergate, etc.), they may find their
"brilliant career" as embeds simply exposed their negative aspects to a wider audience.

Now the MSM is looking to be the reporter in front of the camera giving dramatic stories for prizes offered by other reporters.
FOLKS the only way we can attack the left is to attack the sponsors of their programs. We need to have a list of those who are obviously rooting for the enemy. (ala the Greely article in the Sun Times)
Defund the left!

As an observer, though young of the British press in WW2, I am able to gauge accurately the damage being done today. This is in the case of CBC Canada and to some extent BBC Britain. The awful realisation of the MSM has been obvious to me from the get go. Since it is Americans who are in the main doing the fighting and dying, it is nothing less than a wicked crime.
Spouse (liberal socialist) often has on CNN. Yesterday I saw a female one Kitty Pilgrim, with some talking heads. One of them may have been a supporter of the war in Iraq.
The last thing that the press dare not do is to denigrate the troops themselves. God help them if they did. They know how far they can dare. Here is their tactic, which of course is obvious to Freepers.
To criticise and denigrate the war effort (under the guise of caring for the troops). To constantly harp at Donald Rumsfield. To put down President Bush. To decry the logistics division of the military. In short, to do all that an enemy propagandist would do, to demoralise the "enemy". A study of both sides propaganda in WW2 will confirm this.
The enemy within . They know exactly what they are doing- the swine.

DESTROYING THEM. Or at least pointing out the fallacy of their presumption. They are the 'gatekeepers'. And they 'fact check'. Would that were true. They are the 'philosophers', who know no philosophy. They are the historians who have been at this "for fifty years". But history is longer than that.
2005 should prove a good year to take the LM to task. Very good. It will take detailed refutation. With the war, it will take merely the idea that life is one way 'in country', and seemingly another on the LM outlets, such that a year ago people would travel to Iraq and conclude with surprise that it wasn't at all what they expect as judged by LM coverage back in the states. People who go, today, are shocked in the same way.

An incredible tax on one's ability to not only read, but to do the article justice. So much information here. Still, it can only be to the good. I see the solid number of hits -738, I believe. Thank goodness my Lexmark is in working order. Ah the joys of this new medium the internet.

Actually, the media isn't just being used. They're actively doing everything they can to help us lose the war.
With the declining influence of the MSM, they're hungry to regain their power. They know that they were once instrumental in turning the country against a war, and even in helping to bring down a president.
They think that if they can do it again, that they'll get their power and influence back, and they've been proven to be willing to do anything they can to bring defeat on our military, and destroy the Bush administration.
