The Canadian government has now approved the first visa applications from Americans looking to move to Canada after President Bush's re-election.
Tresey Kilbourne and his family, from Seattle, applied more than a year ago for Canadian visas, planning to withdraw their applications if a Democrat won.
They're now looking for a home in British Columbia. Mr. Kilbourne, quoted by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, says, "With the Republicans in full control of everything, there hasn't been anything that has caused us to think that we weren't doing ... the smart thing."

You didn't even like it in Seattle??!!?? Bye bye, Tresey!

Start counting the days ... I wonder how many go by before they reconsider what the "smart" thing really was.

Maybe we could pressure the Canadians to accept more American immigrants. Heck, we could trade citizens. If we could send them 1-2 million flaming American liberals and they could send us 1-2 million Canadians yearning for freedom we would probably both be happy with the exchange.
To: DaveLoneRanger
This is the reason our government really never wanted Canada to be a part of the US after the war of 1812. They knew it would be a good place to dump our excess liberals.

Wow. Not even stealing the Washington Gubernatorial election was enough to brighten their day, eh?
A little Canadian lingo at the end there for you.

The man is uprooting his family to flee a phantom political threat. He needs his head examined (on the Canadian medical dole, thank you very much) as soon as he arrives in his new nation.
Canada isn't the promised land for fleeing liberals. It's America's new dumping grounds for our dillusional, psychotic, and mentally ill.

One would think that if this guy is this much of a looney liberal, British Columbia would not be his choice. Western Canada is pretty conservative. He needs to go to Ontario if he's looking for a liberal mecca.

Here's another chuckle for the forum: I have a liberal, wannabe hippie daughter, now living in Houston, who, along with her tree-hugging hubby, has applied for permanent resident status in the utopian socialist, great white north. I can hardly wait until they get there, and realize the taxes are going to eat them up.
Maybe we should institute a "No Return" policy for such idiots.

I find this so sad. We should be sending them to Cuba or Mexico. I like Canadian as a general rule and this will just make it harder for them to clean things up up there.
Cuba and Mexico are FUBAR'ed anyway so a little more wouldn't hurt.

I have to wonder why Cuba is not their first choice. The climate is just what they are looking for....and the weather is pleasant, too!

I dont mind them leaving as long as it comes with Canadian citizenship. I dont want them living in Canada and STILL voting in US elections.

Did those two vote in the Washington State Governor's race?
Should their votes count, or what should the cutoff voting date be?
sarcasm: This might be critical votes, as only legal citizens can vote.

What amazes me about these people is that nobody EVER complained when the Rats "controlled Evertything." Think 1992-1994, 1977-1981, 1960-1968. 1932-1952. So the Pubbies "control everthing from 2002-? and it's a disaster. Get a grip people.

Don't forget Vancouver, BC, every bit as looney left as Seattle, if not more so. They'll feel right at home there.
