He's more Mike Kruczek than Terry Bradshaw.LOL!
I guess you didn't catch Bradshaw's act early in his career!

Just telling you what's coming, off the record, from the beat reporters who cover the locker room. Those "beat reporters" must really be "beat"!
They're just a little chaffed that Ben's had to cut back some of his interview time with them. Bruised egos of the little pencil pushers. I know a couple of them who feel like jilted lovers since they had so much of Ben's time earlier in the pre-season and early season,
Btw, Tunch and Wolfley are saying how cool it is not to have each team pretend any pretense of affection... these teams hate each other.
LOL!!!

Hey if anyone really wants to go to the game, and has no tickets and is close to downtown... the Concierge at the Downtown Hilton Hotel is always ready for a courthouse handshake and a smile.

Will be interesting to see how they rebound against NY today.Look for the Jets to be tough! Martin is so smooth and strong and steady.

Maybe Brady was having trouble buying gifts and that threw him off last Monday...hehe.You might be right. He's the kind of guy who waits until Christmas Eve to do his buying, so he had a lot on his mind.

Of course I did. Unlike Steeler fans, us Browns fans remember that there was an NFL before 1972. >:) Without the solid team Noll built around him, Bradshaw stunk. Kruszek (sic?) came in with the team intact and they won despite is complete lack of experience. I've long said Bradshaw was somewhat overrated himself. His main benefit to the Steelers was the fact that he didn't make many mistakes. Of course, with that team around him he rarely had to try to make a play himself.

What is it about Roethlisberger? As a Steeler QB, I find myself thinking, week after week, that he is too good to be true.

The Ravens will win by 13.I highly doubt that..... unless those Pacific tsunamis come up the Ohio River to swamp Heinz Field.
I've been watching the Steelers for over 50 years, so I know anything can happen today. My mother and father used to know Art Rooney Sr. and Cleveland's Art Modell and she used to adamantly tell me when I was an impressionable little kid that pro football was "arranged" (fixed). That was back in the 50's and 60's.
It just may be a little true today, seeing that most of the refs' calls could be made on any play! Offensive holding, defensive interference with the receivers, etc. ..... it's very, very subjective.
I must be honest, I think (know) that the Steelers have gotten more than their share of the refs decisions over the years. Well, no time to stop now!
I see the Steelers winning once again. I just want Bettis to stay healthy!

He does a good job, but I suspect it's the "wife" part that brings in the hits. I remember him posting the story about how he met her and someone posted back "you left out the part where you slipped her a mickey".
Here's the best site for the team with the NFL's best fan base (even with its worst OL):
Bernie's Insiders.

What is is about Roethlisberger? ---
I'll guess...... he comes off as very unassuming, he has those blue collar looks, he's a religious, centered young fellow....... and this is my favorite as an athlete........... he's sneaky smart! Mostly though, he's just NICE!
p.s....did I say anything about seriously talented...... Did you know this, and this is BIG! He was a point guard in basketball. Do you know what that says about his ability to manager a game at QB? It's PERFECT!

Bradshaw had nothing when he got here in the beginning, he almost got killed. Then he was surrounded by a team of Hall of Famers.... made it much easier!
;-)
Remember Turkey Jones stuffing Bradshaw head first into the ground? That was frightening.

Yep, sure thing. The particluar player voicing these concerns used to be the media darling in Pittsburgh before Big Ben took off. For those of you who don't know, wolfie is referring to Tommy Maddox, who lost his starting job to Ben when he was injured. Not too suprising that he would have a chip on his shoulder.
But considering he was never much of a team leader, there's nobody in that locker room listening. Face it wolfie, there's nobody else with reason to be upset.
But keep pushing those rumors, I hear the DNC is hiring for their next "trouble behind the scenes at the White House" media campaign. You'd do well.

This Bradshaw "landing" ("planting") could explain a little of Terry's somewhat erratic but harmless behavior in later years.

I have really enjoyed following Ben's career.
In the early '50's, when Ara replaced Woody Hayes, I had the pleasure of being a Miami (NROTC Midshipman) college undergraduate; and participated with Johnny Pont and Doc Urich. Marvelous Redskin days!
Ben is holding up the Miami tradition in stellar form -- and reminds me alot of Joe Montana in the latter's early days -- superb pass poise and great scrambling technique when pressed in the pocket.
I join a host of REDSKIN (not Goshawk *S*) alumni in wishing this splendid young man every success in his profession.
Go, Ben! We are truly happy for your success.
