MAYWOOD, Ill. --
In this photo released by the Loyola University Health System, Rumaisa Rahman, is seen next to a hand a few weeks after she was born at the Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Ill.
Rumaisa, whose parents came from Hyderabad, India, weighed 8.6 ounces when she was delivered Sept. 19.
She is believed to be the smallest baby in the world ever to survive. (12/21/04 AP Photo/Loyola University Health System)
Try to see the movie "Stroszek" I mentioned. Probably available on Netflix, or buy it on Ebay. Unforgettable.
Just because someone is pro-choice does not mean he/she is a baby killer or a kid killer. There are so many good mothers, doctors, and caregivers that are pro-choice and they amazing at taking care of children.
Being pro-choice means letting women have the right to make a choice.
I think you missed the left turn back down the street that leads to DU.
FreeRepublic.com is a pro-life site.
I suppose you think supporters of the Nazi Party weren't Jew-killers either, just because they didn't crank up the gas or fire up the ovens.
Looks like little skittles has skittered off.
I kinda hoped it would stay around and maybe learn that murder of the unborn is never acceptable no matter what fluffy terms you couch it in.
Well, it can still read.
It is not a choice when the 'choice'(sic) crosses the line and imposes on another's rights... specifically, where is her choice in this 'choice'?
All our personal freedoms end when they impose on the basic freedoms of another. We aren't free to steal another's property, nor are we free to take another's life in most circumstances.
Every pro-abortion person needs to understand that babies at this stage are killed every day. This little precious gift from God weighed a little more than 8oz and a measured a whole 9”, but she survived. How can someone look at this picture and think she’s a choice? She’s a human being, created by God.
It seems crazy that all this came from a picture of a tiny baby. Yes, all babies are a gift. My son, who is now 7, was 1 pound, 10 ounces, born by emergency c section due to a severe form of preclampsia called hellp syndrome. Before he was born, I also suffered a pregnancy loss at 20 weeks due to my water breaking. He was named Michael and was 12 ounces. Finally, a few years ago, I had gotten pregnant (I cannot use hormonal birth control, and our condom broke)unfortuneatly I had an abortion, as I CAN NOT be pregnant. I am lucky to be alive after my son was born, as the complications were severe. After that experience I could not put my life in danger. It was both myself and my husbands decision, as putting myself at risk isn’t worth it. My living son needs me. I hated making the decision, as I always considered myself against abortion. And trust me I would love to have a baby. But I can’t let my son not have his mommy here either.
I know that isn’t a joke! My Grandmother was born very early (the story is DGGM was 7.5 months when she delivered) and the Dr told them to keep her warm and pray for the best. They kept her wrapped is blankets and placed her in a small wooden box that they layed warmed bricks under and mirculously she survived and I am here today.
