I know someone who was the size of an adult hand when he was born. He wasn't expected to live. His parents kept him in a shoebox inside the oven in Vietnam. This is not a joke. He's now about 6', a father, and a student in dental school with a Ph.D. in pharmacology.

Father of 4 daughters here. My twins were pretty small but not anywhere that small thank the Lord. The smallest twin was just under 5lbs when we got to take her home now she is about 3-4 inches taller than her twin. They are 3.
