MIRAMAR, Fla. Dec 24, 2004 — A doctor whose license was revoked for botching abortions, including leaving fetus parts inside a patient, was arrested on charges he continued to perform the procedures.

Robelto A. Osborne, 44, turned himself in to police Wednesday and was released on bond. He was charged with performing medicine without a license, a third-degree felony.

The state Department of Health contacted police about Osborne last month after receiving an anonymous tip about Osborne performing abortions at A Gyn Diagnostic Center in Miramar.

Telephone calls to the clinic rang unanswered on Friday, and Osborne does not have a listed telephone number...

He allegedly left fetus parts inside a 41-year-old woman who complained of bleeding and pain after an abortion. The woman later sought treatment at an emergency room, where doctors performed a hysterectomy and found fetus parts in her uterus, according to the state records.

Good example of the competence of the bottom-of-the-barrel MD's who end up as abortionists.

I'm surprised he isn't a poster boy for NOW. Obviously, the man is a dedicated feminist just wanting to help women. (right!)

We already knew abortionists were murderers. Now they get to be felons as well.

"Must be morbid fetish."

No probably just easy money. Everything set up and prepped by the techs and CRNA. He just comes in and uses the vacuum. He gets the cash for a few minutes work.

That's the way most abortionists work. In Tallahassee, a doctor flew up from Miami on Saturdays and did abortions during the morning, then flew back in the evening.

That's why I always laugh with derision when the pro-abortion folks opine about the decision being between the woman and her doctor. She never sees the guy except for a few minutes between her legs, while her feet are up in stirrups. She's never spent one minute with him before that!

Not only did he kill the baby ... but he also almost kills the women and he's only charged with a third-degree felony??

In NJ, I can issue a ticket to another driver for violating a traffic incident. I've done this (years ago) and it was honored in court (years ago). I've checked, this is still aloud.

Can a civilian issue a violation charge against this doctor? If so, can we as a group do this?

...including leaving fetus parts inside a patient,...

A fairly common occurrence apparently. This happened to a woman close to me. (Long before I knew her.) In a legal abortion, recommended by PP of VT, a fetal part remained in the womb. It lodged in the fallopian tube causing an ectopic pregnancy the next time she conceived. The resulting fetus was grotesquely deformed and its extra-uterine growth nearly killed her. She can never conceive again. PP told her "the 'procedure' is harmless."

I'm not sure, the Dept. of Health is the licensing authority where this doctor was practicing medicine without a license. We would have to know this (he not having a license) before signing a complaint. Maybe Matt can tell us more. And remember, any licensed MD or DO can do any of the 4 abortion procedures.
