Thanks. She lives 3 -4 blocks from the plant.
Apparently there are some peripheral fires in a residential area and shopping mall close to the area that were started from flying debris.
She should be out by now. The FD and my family have made it to her. My sister told me she had a sore throat from the heavy chemical smell in the air.

The only information I saw was what I posted in the article portion and the first post.
I've been checking, but haven't seen any updates.
Perhaps people in that area may find out something and post it.

Conflicting reports on fatalities and injuries. Civil Defense is reporting 10 dead but the daughter of the plant's owner said that only 3 people would have been in the plant.

Well,
Congratulations, you just grabbed your little glory and got the other guys thread locked...
Be proud, but IMHO, what you did was very poor manners...
In your opinion, it was languishing, was it you that asked for the other thread to be locked as well...
I hardly consider 78 Posts in 28 Minutes languishing.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
And if you take offense, tough cookies....
You didn't report this, DixieOklahoma did... And you live in California, and he is in Oklahoma...
Ooohhh.... I guess you can search the wires better than he....
Very sad.... I suggest you have a little more dignity next time.
Regards,

People in that area were posting info on the other thread until your ego got the better of you.........it was in breaking news until you posted your thread.
Now we've lost some of the people that were posting information.
thank you so very much

Agreed, i did break the story and you did right to start a new thread, in my haste to report what was happening I did not have time to properly label the information, and there weren't any articles. the new thread was appropriate.
also it is being reported that there is no fuel in the building that would cause an explosion this large. emergency crews from Tahlequah are now on the scene also, people are being told to keep away, and go to the 'old' homeland if you are needing help or looking for a missing relative.
also toxic fumes are being reported to be in the area, so keep windows closed. At least 5 house fires are being reported.
Police reported looting at 8:30 PM.

Witnesses say the explosion shortly after 8 PM, sounded like a bomb.
They're good, to be able to tell a bomb explosion from other kinds.

There was a lot of confusion at the beginning about this news item, which resulted in the couple of threads.

Please keep us posted.
All I found were the couple of articles on the net, no updates.
I just wanted to make sure you understood the reason that I posted the articles in a separate thread.
To: hoosiermama
Its clear and no real wind to speak of.

Okay-let's forget who started which thread, and just get out the information.
If you can't all get along, then go to your rooms for a time out.
