Hospice Nurses Barred Santa and Carolers from Visiting Terri on Christmas

http://www.floridabaptistwitness.com/3655.article

“We forgot to put Santa on the visitation list,” Schindler said (Terri's dad) he told the nurse in jest. “It is typical what’s happening, people have no idea. At a certain point, enough is enough.”

Of the court, Schindler said “They gave the win to the team that didn’t show up.”

When Judge George "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" Greer is here

There is much to fear.

The three words that best describes Grinch Greer are as follows and I quote:

"STINK...STANK...

...STUNK!"

Doesn't Judge George Greer have a nice head of skin?

In response to your post copied above, Greer ISN'T MADE OF SKIN. HE IS REPTILIAN and those are scales. He is a cold blooded creature.

Gibbs Law firm finally got permission to see Terri. Please see the Florida Baptist Witness article posted above. Terri was "alert and aware of her surroundings...she had a beautiful peaches and cream complexion...

Attorney Weller commented that Terri radiated light (something like that).

After much effort to gain visitation privileges stalled for months by the spiteful estranged, adulterous husband Michael Schiavo, attorneys for the parents of Terri Schiavo have finally been permitted to visit the disabled woman whom they have expended much time and cost to secure her freedom, and right to be heard through proper rehabilitation she by retains right to receive.

Attorney Barbara Weller, spokeswoman and coattorney on this case for the David Gibbs Law Firm in Seminole, Florida is a woman who has endured the endless research of the 42 volumes of Terri's guardianship file, thousands of pages of court transcripts from hundreds of court hearings and trials, the representations by the media of Terri being in a Coma state, Terri's husband's agreements with his hired doctors and news statements that Terri is unconscious and unable to relate with her environment and now for the very first time, was permitted to visit her client's disabled daughter, and is now expressing her outrage toward the court system.

[From the article] >>>The day before Christmas, lawyers from Gibbs Law Firm, who are representing the Schindlers, had their first face-to-face visit with Terri.

“It was amazing,” one of the lawyers, Barbara Weller, told the Florida Baptist Witness. “She is so alert and so aware of her environment.”

Commenting on Terri Schiavo’s physical condition, Weller said the 41-year-old woman had a “peaches and cream complexion and gorgeous white teeth,” rather than being “gray and sallow” from not being allowed regular forages to the outside.

“Terri is a beautiful woman who radiates light,” Weller said.

Weller said she is surprised that the court of appeal has appeared to treat the case in such a “cavalier manner,” and has not considered all of the implications.

“The religious issue is very important in Florida,” Weller said. “It was extremely insulting how this was handled.” Although options for an appeal to the recent motion filed with Judge Greer appear to be exhausted, Weller said her firm is planning to file about 4-5 other legal motions related to the case in the next few weeks.<<<

Weller joins a growing list of people who really do know the true condition of Terri Schiavo and now has a perspective that is sure to show up in the Gibbs Law Firm's actions to stop this premeditated judicial attempted homicide.

Documents certified by the Clerk of the Court exist that [prove] conspiracy on the part of Attorneys Deborah Bushnell and George Felos -- which they both attempted to have sealed by the court -- which prove their discussions and planning to intentionally starve Terri Schiavo. Meeting(s) prior to Michael Schiavo ever being asked to meet George Felos or the surfacing 2.5 years after that 12/13/95 murder plot discussion of Michael's "remembering" Terri's alleged "wishes to not live this way". 'Wishes' he conveniently forgot when crying and begging a malpractice jury for millions of dollars to care for and rehabilitate his real wife, Terri, as he vowed to do when he married her in 1986 and again to that Jury and Judge.

To date this murder plot meets refusal in being heard by a complicit law enforcement system, the criminal courts, state attorney, FBI, FDLE, Inspector General and government agencies who are aiding Attorney Felos and Judge Greer in this agenda of precedent setting Judicial homicide of a disabled woman being Criminally denied the protections and retained rights Florida laws are supposed to be providing her.

Meanwhile, others who commit the same crimes around the state and country are being prosecuted for the same or similar activities.

FV SAYS: FOR MORE, PLS COPY AND PASTE THE LINK PROVIDED UP TOP. The people on "the list" who see Terri are astonished at how healthy she is. That they would plot to take her life at "death is us law firm", is APPALLING. IT IS STILL MURDER if they try again, just like it was the other two attempts.

There are people in worse shape than Terri who go to amusement parks and RIDE THE RIDES, i.e. roller coasters. The truth must be shouted from the rooftops. TERRI IS ALERT AND AWARE OF HER SURROUNDINGS. THERE WAS NO LIVING WILL. IT IS THE HUSBANDS' LAWYERS WISHES THAT SHE BE STARVED AND DEHYDRATED TO DEATH.

In uneasy campaign, judges vie for top job
The chief judge of the Pinellas-Pasco circuit is breaking custom to seek a third term. Fifty-nine judges vote in February.
By CHRIS TISCH, Times Staff Writer
Published December 31, 2004

The job of chief judge comes with few perks.

Though there is some prestige in overseeing other local judges, the position doesn't pay more and, if anything, brings more work than a regular judgeship. The chief judge also can face bad press or criticism if something goes haywire in the local circuit.

Next year, two veteran Pinellas-Pasco judges will vie for the position. Judge George Greer, best known recently for his rulings on the Terri Schiavo case, will run against Judge David A. Demers, who has been chief judge for two terms.

The race marks the first time in memory in the Pinellas-Pasco circuit that a chief judge is seeking a third term against a challenger. Historically, chief judges in the circuit have abided by an unofficial, self-imposed rule limiting them to two terms of two years each.

The reasons for the term limit vary. Some judges think it's wise to spread the leadership role around, while some fear a judge could accumulate too much political power by staying in the role for too long.

"We have a lot of talent on the bench, and I think it just is good to allow the role of the chief judge to be passed around and not made a quasi-permanent position," said Greer, a circuit judge since 1993.

The chief judge before Demers, Susan Schaeffer, was the first three-term chief judge in the circuit's history. Schaeffer ran unopposed for her third term.

However, Schaeffer was actively involved in Revision 7, a 1998 constitutional change that transferred the bulk of trial court funding from counties to the state. A third term may have made sense to her colleagues so she could help implement the changes.

Demers says the circuit is still adapting to Revision 7, which went into effect this year, so it makes sense for him to serve a third term as well.

"I think I have certain advantages by virtue of having been intimately involved in this process that a new chief judge wouldn't have," said Demers, who began on the county bench in 1981 and moved to the circuit bench in 1994.

The circuit's 59 judges will vote by secret ballot in February. The winner will take over in July.

The race presents an awkward situation for judges, who generally don't publicly criticize one another. Both Demers and Greer have sent letters to the other judges announcing their candidacies, but otherwise they plan to campaign subtlely.

Both said pleasant things about the other during recent interviews. In fact, both judges expressed some degree of discomfort about publicity of the race.

Past chief judges say it's somewhat uncomfortable to campaign for chief judge because you're essentially telling colleagues that you're a better choice than another colleague.

"These are all ... people that you work with, and you're asking them to make a choice," said Judge Jim Case, a chief judge in the early 1990s. "It's awkward."

As the chief administrative officer, the chief judge is responsible for managing the circuit. He or she assigns judges to criminal, civil, probate or other courts.

"It's sort of like being the CEO, for a lack of a better term, of the local court and the local court's resources," Demers said.

The chief judge usually doesn't handle a full caseload but can keep cases previously overseen. Greer said he will continue handling the Schiavo case if he is elected.

Because every judge is an independent constitutional officer, the chief judge does not hold any power to review any other judge's decisions or rulings.

Demers also says it's not the chief judge's place to micro-manage colleagues. Demers took some heat from St. Petersburg Times editorials after the newspaper reported that Judge Charles Cope was out of court for 10 weeks in one year after he was on paid leave for a year as he battled criminal charges in California.

Demers was criticized after he said that Cope's time off was not relevant to him as long as the judge didn't fall behind in his calendar, which he hadn't. Demers said judges have no set rules or laws outlining vacation time.

Demers also was criticized for how he handled Cope's departure. Demers pulled Cope from a trial to attend an emergency meeting. Cope then left the courthouse and resigned the next day. He later said he learned there were plans in the Legislature to impeach him, which prompted him to quit.

Demers would not discuss what was said in the meeting, which he considered a private talk with a colleague.

Still, Demers acknowledges some other judges were not satisfied with how he handled Cope's situation. He said he doesn't know of any other significant criticism of his tenure.

If re-elected, Demers plans to explore starting a DUI court, adding a drug court in Pasco County and expanding unified family court.

He thinks the two-term limit is inconsistent with other large circuits in the state, some of which have had longtime chief judges.

Rotating chief judges so frequently also can erode relationships a previous chief has built up with lawmakers, which could have an effect on funding for the local circuit, said Bobbi Flowers, a Stetson University College of Law professor.

"That's a cost that we as citizens bear because every time the chief judge changes, there has to be a reacquiring of that statewide influence," said Flowers, who said both Demers and Greer are "highly qualified for the position."

But former chief judge Ray "Gene" Ulmer Jr. said he subscribes to the two-term limit so politics can be kept out of the position.

"I had seen some of the other circuits ... where a single individual had become a chief judge it seemed like in perpetuity," Ulmer said. "And the ranks in the court had become very political, and the chief judge had become very powerful using his or her ability to make assignments ... as what I perceived to be a means to stay in power."

In Hillsborough County, F. Dennis Alvarez was a chief judge for 13 years, becoming an immensely powerful figure. He resigned in 2001 after a series of courthouse scandals.

Greer agrees with Ulmer. He said several colleagues encouraged him to run. He declined to discuss Demers' handling of the Cope case or other issues in detail, but said: "There's some things in the system that need to be tweaked a little bit."

In deciding between Greer and Demers, fellow judges will have to weigh the importance of their historical term limits with how well they believe either judge will perform.

"It's a balancing act," said Case, the former chief judge, "that each individual judge has to weigh in their own mind."

The Judges get to vote for their favorite for Chief Judge. The Chief Judge hands out all the case assignments. How can the blind Judge Greer hand out cases when he won't tell the JQC that he's got a pale optic nerve and has a driver He cannot drive because he is "legally blind."

When the question of his vision came up at a townhall forum, in the aftermath, after saying "no, he wasn't" and then to a person saying "yes, he was impaired.", Greer's wife Patricia said "What kind of question is that? It's not nice to pick on someone with a disability." ACTUAL QUOTE

FV says: ROBBING TERRI AND THEN KILLING HER TO COVER IT ALL UP IS O.K. WITH PAT GREER? Sheriff Rice said "Greer should get a medal for being steadfast in Terri's guardianship (starving her). A MEDAL. LOL How about a PERP WALK?

Greer will only continue handling the Schiavo case because he doesn't want anyone else to discover all of his missteps that everyone already knows about. What folly! Greer would make a fine puppet Chief Judge for "the team".

You don't know how many times, I have had the thought, that so many of these judges in florida and elsewhere have no right to be deciding criminal (or any other kind of case) cases, because they are so corrupt they have become criminals themselves.

Efforts to save Terri Schiavo fail again Lakeland, FL, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- A Florida appeals court has ruled the parents of a Tampa, Fla., woman should not get a trial in their effort to keep her alive.

The decision by the 2nd Court of Appeal in Lakeland, Fla., could leave the U.S. Supreme Court as the only recourse for the parents of Terri Schiavo, The Tampa Tribune said Thursday.

Schiavo, 40, has been in a permanent vegetative state for 14 years since suffering a chemical imbalance and cardiac arrest. Her husband wants to remove her feeding tube and allow her to die, but her parents want to keep her alive.

The appeals court issued no written opinion, meaning the state Supreme Court is not eligible to consider the case again under Florida law.

Terri Schiavo's feeding tube was removed last year, but Florida Gov. Jeb Bush ordered it replaced under a law passed by the Legislature for that purpose.

It was reinserted, but the state Supreme Court ruled the new law was unconstitutional. Bush has now asked the U.S. Supreme Court to take the case.

A decision on whether to accept the case is expected by the court next month.

FV SAYS: DECISION ON WHETHER TO ACCEPT OR REFUSE TO HEAR AT SCOTUS IN MID-JANUARY, 2005.

Floriduh Voter.

Is Judge George Greer related to actor Jeffrey Jones who starred as the principal in Ferris Bueller's Day Off and also had starring roles in such films as Howard the Duck and The Devil's Advocate?

Greer looks exactly like Jeffrey Jones.

Will you please post a picture of Jones and a picture of Greer for the rest of the forum to view for themselves?

The resemblance is uncanny!

I would be VERY surprised if Rosalyn Carter, a member of the liberal democratic party and the wife of pro-abortion, pro-death Jimmy Carter (or as we like to call him here in Georgia..."Jimma Cotta" that peanut picking hayseed from Plains) lifted a single pinky finger to help Terri. I hope she proves me wrong but I doubt it.

Never trust a liberal democrat especially on issues of abortion and euthanasia.

James Earl Carter is an embarrassment to the state of Georgia and also to the United States of America.

The only thing worse than Jimma Cotta is one William Jefferson Blythe Clinton/Slick Willie Zipper No Pants Bill...

...but just by the slimmest of margins.

I don't want to see anyone get their hopes up by thinking Mrs. Carter, Hillary Clinton or any other liberal democrat will help Terri in her time of need.

I am praying for a miracle.

(put your feelings about Jimmy Carter aside) and please write to Rosalyn about Terri's need for protective custody. They will pull Terri's feeding tube by mid-January according to felos. Apparently, he's confident the US Supremes will turn down Jeb's appeal because the courts are all powerful and Judge Rehnquist's year end statement sounds like he believes he is omnipotent, even though he himself is quite ill.

BREAKING SUNDAY NEWS. What have we been saying about the Pinellas County Clerk and the Pinellas County Courts being INCOMPTENT??? They are now crying poor mouth and the cities around here are telling the Pinellas Clerk of Courts to take a hike with their proposed parking rate increase of 141 to 145%!

HOW MUCH MONEY has our Sixth Circuit Clerk (who HAS BEEN been in a vegetative state for at least the past ten years)wasted and how many hands have been in the Pinellas County Clerk's cookie jar??? When the incompetents are in charge, this is what happens. Laugh along with me. LOL What a ship of fools.

What goes around seems to be coming around in Pinellas County, the WORST CLERK'S OFFICE IN THE UNITED STATES!!! Name Change to: Puppet County instead of Pinellas County. WHO'S THE PUPPETMASTER? What kind of organized entity is running the Sixth Circuit? IMO they're running Puppet County into the ground after they take their cut.

PUPPET COUNTY'S CLERK'S OFFICE (under Karleen DeBlaker's MISMANAGEMENT) CRIES POOR MOUTH in today's www.sptimes.com North Pinellas section. (FV's Title)

ACTUAL TITLE: Cities balk at plan to raise ticket fees

The clerk of court's office wants to charge municipalities more to process their parking fines. It could be as high as $10 a ticket.

By AARON SHAROCKMAN

Published January 2, 2005

The agency that processes most of Pinellas County's parking fines may double its service charge, an increase that could siphon profits from the cities where the tickets were written.

The Pinellas County Clerk of the Circuit Court's office has not yet decided how much it will raise per-ticket processing costs, and a final decision will likely be left for incoming clerk Ken Burke.

But the office may raise rates as high as $10 per ticket, according to county officials, well above the current rate of about $4.

And at least two Pinellas cities, Clearwater and St. Pete Beach, are already preparing to pull out of the program and collect tickets on their own.

Officials in those cities think the costs have run too high.

The clerk's office said the increase would generate additional revenue for the cash-strapped agency. The office is subsidized by state revenues and does not receive funding from the county for court operations. Except for St. Petersburg, municipalities process their parking tickets through the clerk's office. For years, the office charged a nominal fee, between $1 and $2 per ticket, to offset personnel, summons and data processing costs, said Tracey Bruch, Clearwater's parking operations manager.

But recently, the clerk's office began charging actual processing costs. Each month, municipalities receive a spreadsheet documenting the number of tickets issued and the costs incurred.

In October, Clearwater, which writes the most tickets by far, filed 3,877 tickets for fines totaling $67,021. Of that, the clerk's office kept $15,812.27, or $4.08 for every ticket.

In Safety Harbor, where only two tickets were issued for a total of $40, the clerk's office held back $8.61. In Madeira Beach, the clerk's office charged $4.11 for each of the 603 tickets issued.

Now the clerk's office is considering charging up to $10 per ticket, like it does for other ordinance violations.

Bruch said the increase is too large for Clearwater, which hopes to pull out of the clerk's program and contract a third-party collection service by the middle of next year.

"It would definitely be a high impact," Bruch said. Clearwater's basic parking ticket is $15, and with $5 already allocated to the city's school crossing guard program, a $10 service charge would wipe out any profit for the self-supporting operation, Bruch said.

"We potentially would be running a deficit," she said. "The city feels it would be more cost effective through private sector firms."

The city of St. Pete Beach has signed a contract to run its collection service through Citation Management, a Wisconsin company that operates parking collections in several cities, including Milwaukee.

Phil Thorn, the administrative services supervisor with the St. Pete Beach Police Department, said the city hopes to divorce itself from the clerk's office in February.

Citation Management will charge $3.36 per ticket as part of the deal, a significant cost savings, Thorn said. "The county has been somewhat inching up their costs," Thorn said. "We needed to look at other options."

St. Pete Beach writes about 8,000 parking tickets each year, Thorn said, most of them are for $20 each. Together with Clearwater, the two municipalities comprise about 75 percent of all parking tickets the clerk's office processes.

Heath, court services division director for the clerk's office, said the pull outs would not cripple the office. "It would not be a loss," she said.

Burke said he will not fight to keep municipalities in the program. He expects processing costs to rise in 2005, but not as high as $10 per ticket.

"The important thing is if the clerk does it, we recover our costs," Burke said. "It's not suppose to be a profit center and we don't want to be.

"If each city wants to do it themselves, that's fine with me."

Aaron Sharockman can be reached at 727 445-4160 or

FV SAYS: The profit center is run UNDER THE TABLE. If they are cash strapped in their public portofolio, may be they should take funds from Terri's Betting Pool funds alleged to be at the clerk and court system to get back in the black.

I'm glad that the Pinellas (Puppet) County Clerk's Office and Court system is FINALLY BEING EXPOSED BY the local newspapers. It backs up what we have been saying for a number of years now about incompetence at every turn.

I'VE ALSO HEARD THAT MORALE IS POOR AT the Pinellas Clerk's Office. The employees are starting to see that they don't belong there and that it has been mismanaged. Clerk Office employees are starting to see that Terri has been WRONGED. If they have to lay people off because retiring DeBlaker blew the budget and had over twenty years to run it into the ground and ALSO the Clerk's Office failed to protect the Wards of the State, I hope some disgruntled employees SING LIKE BIRDS.

RED STATES, PLEASE CALL YOUR U.S. SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN OR WOMEN... What's more pro-life than giving Terri her life back???

RED STATES, PLEASE CALL YOUR U.S. SENATORS AND CONGRESSMEN OR WOMEN. PLEASE TELL THEM ABOUT TERRI... This is a life and death matter and red states are supposed to be pro-life. Ask them to visit www.terrisfight.org to see Terri's videos.

Terri can breathe on her own and is alert and aware of her surroundings. She understands jokes for goodness sake! She is not in misery.

She only suffers if they starve and dehydrate her to death.

Is Janet Rehnquist, Chief Justice Rehnquist's daughter, STILL IN A TOP JOB AT HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES? I see a conflict of interest if she is.

JANET REHNQUIST RESIGNED but she may be from Tampa bay. I still smell a conflict of interest because she was with HHS while Terri was twice starved.

I will do this. I will call and I will make my voice heard somehow. I am furious with the courts and I am not going to sit this one out.

Do you know if it is possible to write to the members of our Supreme Court in DC?

God Bless Terri, her family and all of you, ALL OF YOU who work to release this precious human from her bondage. If we cannot work to defend this human...who are we really?

I fail to remember to pray for Terri as much as I should be praying. Today, this changes for me. And I am asking our Father to join my petitions for Terri with yours, as we work with our Father to move this mountain.

We are going to save this woman and we are going to make sure that FLorida sunshine falls upon her face once more.

We are going to return this abused and neglected human being into the arms of those who LOVE HER.

We have the mightiest force of all within and without us...our Father. Let him hear from all of us as we work to spread the knowledge we have of what Terri has undergone to those who hold the power on earth to impact her right to live.

And always remember that MS's and his hellacious attorney's claim of right to privacy for Terri is NOTHING MORE than a means to close her off from all that is wondrous, alive and meaningful. They have to shut her off from this....because to do otherwise would expose WHO Terri is, WHAT she is capable of, HOW she has been neglected and perchance, WHY she is is the state she is in to begin with...

Neglected animals are treated better.

THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT information.

JANET REHNQUIST, FORMER INSPECTOR GENERAL AT U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES, JOINS VENABLE

Ms. Rehnquist will co-chair Washington health care practice and take major role in litigation and pharmaceutical matters

WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 8, 2003) – Longtime senior government attorney Janet Rehnquist has joined Venable LLP in Washington where she will co-chair the firm’s Washington health care practice.

For the past two years, Ms. Rehnquist has served as the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, the chief enforcement position at that department.

Ms. Rehnquist bore primary responsibility for the oversight of the Medicare and Medicaid programs, along with over 300 other HHS programs in 12 different agencies and with a combined annual budget of over $400 billion.

Ms. Rehnquist, 46, returns to private practice after 10 years in the federal government which began with positions as Counsel to the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations and Associate Counsel to the first President Bush, followed by nearly seven years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney where she prosecuted civil enforcement actions in health care fraud, often leading to multi-million dollar resolutions.

In all, she has spent 10 years in health care litigation and enforcement. She has served as a trial attorney, senior government enforcer and spokesperson on national health care policy issues.

“Janet is an outstanding addition to our health care and pharmaceutical practices,” said Robert Zinkham, a health care lawyer who chairs Venable’s Business Division. “Her breadth of experience as a White House advisor, federal prosecutor and Inspector General uniquely position her as a valuable resource for our health care and pharmaceutical clients facing significant regulatory challenges.”

In her role as Inspector General for HHS’s massive array of programs, Ms. Rehnquist managed a staff of over 1,600 auditors, investigators, lawyers, and evaluators who worked out of more than 80 cities nationwide. She reported directly to HHS Secretary Tommy G. Thompson and Congress, and frequently was called on to brief other high-level Department and Administration officials as well as members of Congress and their staffs. She also testified regularly before Congressional committees, particularly on Medicare and Medicaid.

“Janet takes an aggressive and pragmatic approach to her job that produces strong results,” said Tommy G. Thompson, Secretary of Health & Human Services. “She deftly tackled the complexities of the health care system and strengthened protections for health-care consumers. Janet is a smart, tough and fair-minded person, who develops common-sense solutions to challenging problems. She is a tremendous asset to any organization.”

Thomas A. Scully, Administrator of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, said, “I have known Janet for more than 20 years. She is a tremendously talented and hard working lawyer who did a great job as the Inspector General at HHS, and I’m sure she will be a great fit at Venable. I look forward to working with her in her new role.”

Ms. Rehnquist’s move follows the addition to Venable’s Health Care group of Ted Ramirez, who represents multi-hospital systems and health care providers in their operations, governance issues and business transactions. Mr. Ramirez and Ms. Rehnquist will co-chair Venable’s Washington health care practice. Venable has over 40 attorneys practicing nationally in the related areas of health care, pharmaceuticals, food & drug, and bioscience.

“It was important for me to come to a Washington-based law firm that already had established health care and pharma practices and a strong base in litigation,” said Ms. Rehnquist. “I also wanted to be at a firm that has shown a lot of forward movement. I did a gut check, and decided that Venable is the place I want to be.”

Ms. Rehnquist sees significant change on the horizon for the entire health care industry: “We are in the midst of a sea change in health care, with the Medicare reform bill high on the Congressional agenda and an unprecedented amount of public debate on issues such as drug pricing, marketing, access and re-importation of medicines from Canada, Mexico and other countries,” she said.

She noted that issues surrounding pharmaceutical companies are front and center in public consciousness largely because prescription drugs are becoming even more successful and life-changing for large segments of the population, particularly seniors. Consequently, the public is demanding that the government ensures their access to these drugs and that costs are kept down.

The Wall Street Journal reported that in just the last three fiscal years, the government has collected $4.21 billion in fines, settlements and restitution payments from its health-care investigations, far greater than the $3.29 billion it had collected in the previous ten years combined. Aggressive policing of alleged fraud and other violations will be a continuing trend, says Ms. Rehnquist, as the government makes unprecedented forays into health care and the public continues to ratchet up spending on pharmaceuticals.

“The side-effect of increased government involvement in the economic and business aspects of the pharmaceutical industry is greater government scrutiny, which in turn engenders greater enforcement,” said Ms. Rehnquist. “I look forward to helping Venable’s pharma clients successfully meet both the government’s and the public’s high expectations.”

“Janet has a remarkable combination of credentials in public sector law,” said Venable Chairman Benjamin R. Civiletti, himself a former U.S. Attorney General. “She has experience that is of tremendous value to our clients in litigation, compliance, investigations and regulatory matters. And she is part of a new generation of leaders in Washington. We welcome her enthusiastically.”

Ms. Rehnquist is a 1985 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law.

FV SAYS: MEDICAID??? PROSECUTED HEALTH CARE FRAUD? OOPS! She missed Terri's health care fraud while at HHS.

Isn't TERRI SCHINDLER SCHIAVO ON MEDICAID since her rehab monies were taken from her??? To be in Hospice, Terri has to be re-certified every six months that she's terminally ill which she is not.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST with Wm Rehnquist getting to decide if Terri's Law is accepted or turned down??? His daughter MISSED PROSECUTING TERRI'S MEDICAID FRAUD CASE. Clearly, there is one.

YOU CANNOT WRITE TO THE SUPREME COURT. They are not forbidden from reading correspondence unless it is in the form a "friend of the Court" brief from say, one of 20 disability groups or the Catholic League, etc.

Please read my post about Wm Rehnquist's daughter. If she had done her job, Terri wouldn't be in this mess right now. THIS NEEDS TO BE EXPOSED. REHNQUIST should have to recuse himself from deciding the fate of Terri's Law. Rehnquist would like reject Terri's Law because he's one of those rule of law more important than huma life types. You know, ARROGANT, SUPERIORITY COMPLEX. This new information is a potential gold mine.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST EXPOSED. Ms. Rehnquist's lack of oversight re: Terri has brought Terri's Law before her FATHER, Chief Justice Wm Rehnquist.

Ms. Rehnquist bore primary responsibility for the oversight of the Medicare and Medicaid programs, along with over 300 other HHS programs in 12 different agencies and with a combined annual budget of over $400 billion.

TO be a friend of the court-one has to be legally certified as an attorney? Representing some special interest group?

To bad.

I am aware of such briefs....and believe that this group right here on FR could write a fantastic 'friend of the court' brief.

Wish, how I wish, I knew someone who had the ear of some of our Supreme Court members.

Felos may be savvy, but goodness and mercy are not on his side, rather greed and heartlessness rule his life. May he be exposed so fully that our nation is shocked into knowledge of what the culture of death is doing to us.

I never knew that Terri had to be recertified as terminally ill EVERY SIX MONTHS in order for her to be held prisoner at Hospice in FL.

On its face-that is SICK!

Never, EVER has someone fought through more horrific odds to keep her own life intact.

We need to be Terri's human weapons on earth.....searing the lies and untruths spread about her condition via felos and MS and exposing the horrific punishment felos and MS have laid upon this tender human being so at the mercy of genuine monsters.

No judge reads correspondence from the public. But, it's apparent while at HHS, Janet Rehnquist didn't investigate if Medicaid Fraud or prosecute health care fraud matters concerning Terri.

If the head of HHS Tommy Thompson had ordered an investigation of Terri's STATE SPONSORED MURDER AFTER A ROBBERY, she wouldn't be looking at a mid-January death sentence.

William Rehnquist would probably reject Terri's Law IMO at the Supreme Court unless he had to recuse himself.

Janet Rehnquist failed to protect Terri and now her dad is going to get to decide if Terri will live or die based upon Terri's Law? THIS IS TESTIMONY OF JANET REHNQUIST WHICH OUTLINES HER DUTIES AT HHS. HHS failed Terri, no matter how you slice it and as you know, hundreds of citizens contacted Florida's DCF and other Health Care Agencies in Tallahassee which all stonewalled and/or covered up any and all allegations that were brought forth.

The major problem is there are so many involved in the coverup, we need a complete housecleaning. To the the bureaucrats & judges, it would simply be easier to just get rid of Terri. READ THIS...

Despite the decline, Ms. Rehnquist said her office had been "tough on fraud" and aggressively pursued abusive health care providers.

From NYT with photo in link provided above. FV says: NOT TOUGH ENOUGH ON FRAUD.

Calling or writing to Rosalyn Carter is a complete waste of time.

Find someone to call or write who actually gives a rip...

...who actually cares about Terri's situation, her life and her family. The only thing Rosalyn Carter cares about is building up po' ole Jimma's pitiful legacy.

With liberal democrats it is all about symbolism minus any substance whatsoever. Please advise Cheryl not to waste her time on Rosalyn, Jimma, Bill and Hitlery as well.

Would it help if she had a legal team with more juice?

I still want to know why Terri Schindler-Schiavo is in a Hospice and she doesn't have a terminal illness.

Will someone please explain this?
