Unfortunately, that's not what influences an employer's hiring decision. It's a bit more complicated than that. What happens is that if an employer wants to fire or discipline a minority employee, he needs to have some insurance against a lawsuit. Once he gets sued, the first thing that's going to get looked at is the level of "diversity" of his workforce, apparently so as to peer into his state of mind. At that point, he's going to want to make sure he has plenty of minority employees to show to the plaintiff's lawyers, who aren't going to care a whit if these employees are illegals.
So really the only viable solution is to get rid of these "civil rights" laws altogether and let the market do its job.
Yup, tons of them, they are really more about supporting president Bush at all costs. Even if it means turning the country over to Mexico, if President Bush is for it then they are for it. I think President Bush could propose a plan to abolish the Constitution and the BushBots would be all in favor of doing so. Hell I forget he already did that and the BushBots were all for it ..... Patriot Act.
Okay, I'll give you may A student son. Who happened to clip out of a year of college by taking AP classes. However, because he was in the top 20% of his class as opposed to the top 10%, he didn't qualify to attend a state university. (Unlike his "undoucmented" A student counterpart. AND... he was in the top 4% of his class until we were transfered to Houston... a much large school district.) My son has a right to a spot in a state college before any "undoucumented" kid if for no other reason he is the product of generations of TAXPAYERS. But, hey, crazy me....
Why do they have to wait for the "final" plan before they can formulate an opinion? What he's told us of already is enough to get most rational people upset.
Gets better than that...as far as I can determine, that site, http://members.cox.net/dkunkel/ , isn't even archived by Google.
Makes me wonder where our resident pro-illegal cheerleader got that link from...
Halfcocked... utter drivel. Try fed up, weary, frustrated, and exhausted.
Because a lot of things being stated as "fact," in fact, aren't.
Not his amnesty program for illegals.
Care to amplify that?
Although I think I hear you loud and clear. You think it's ok for the children of Illegals to receive an education compliments of American taxpayers, berate that education and demand still more services along with the guarantee of a "suitable" job.
Do I have to tell you how that smells?
Oh woe is you?
Bush is in favor of open borders.
Bush's plan is blanket amnesty.
Whether you approve of it or not, she's right that there is a growing number of Republicans who are getting fed up. You're not going to win them back over to your side with that attitude.
Who's gonna pick the coffee beans?
You might want to rethink that. I certainly wouldn't vote for Perry again if he were to take such an action, and I'll guarantee you that the Texas GOP wouldn't see another dime from me until the situation was rectified. One of the things I truly love about Texas is that it hasn't, and it won't jump on the Tancredoesque bandwagon.
And you're not going to win the votes you need to get ANYTHING to do with immigration laws when you exaggerate and condescendingly scoff at people who don't agree with your interpretation of the plans being put forth.
The second one shows your misrepresentation of fact. No one's accused his plan of being a "blanket" amnesty. But it is amnesty.
I think you have me mixed up with someone else.
That's rewarding people who break our laws, pure and simple.
Exactly my point. It's clearly "someone's" personal webspace, whoever dkunkel/ is.
