CADENA

I looked at CADENA's endorsements and I seen that the AFL-CIO is on that list. I have to wonder if they give money to these illegal students. If so, more of my dues money to pay for the destruction of our borders.

Dream on, ain't gonna happen. The voter in states don't want to pay the "social" costs of illegals. Heck, I don't want to pay the "social" costs of legals, except for punishing criminals. That aside, voters don't consider illegal immigration itself a problem, because they keep hiring them, and illegal immigration is not a big issue for voters of federal representatives.

This problem has been going on for decades. If you think there will be mass roundups and deportations, you are living in a dream world. Face reality, and consider other options. President Bush will win on this issue.

W needs to shut our borders down tighter than a brick *hit house. Illegals are coming out of the woodwork. Our country can't handle for much longer the burden of so many who won't assimilate into American society.

Things are already staring to come apart. The medical system is broke, I see a raise in taxes over the horizon on that one.

Schools are over crowded. Our welfare system.....heaven save us from our welfare system.

Doesn't look like an actual endorsement, more like "guilty by association". But that union would just love to add 9 to 15 million to it's rank and file.

What will happen to illegal aliens who don't qualify for President Bush's guest worker program?

Thats what I've been told by some of our union activist. Most of them could be future democrats, too.

An employer doesn't need to give a reason to refuse to hire anyone. An employer is already free to not hire just about anyone he/she pleases. Even legitimate cases of discrimination (legally legitimate) are almost impossible to prove when it's over hiring.

The idea is to restore the rule of law by changing the law to reflect what the people want. Once done, the illegal immigration problem will become manageable again using the resources currently being applied to the problem.

Does THAT pass the smell test?

Actually, there are a large number (*growing number, I might add*) of Republicans who staunchly disagree with the President on this issue. (**By the way, we voted for him and supported him in many areas. We are allowed to disagree with him, without your approval... or his, for that matter.) Areaman is not alone in his "opinion". Wakeup and smell the coffee.

BTW when did it become my responsibility to educate Mexican nationals? When did it become my responsibility to provide health care for Mexican nationals? When did it become my responsibility to feed, cloth, and house Mexican nationals?

Actually, there is a large group of Republicans who have already gone off halfcocked before they even see what the final plan is.

I read a while back that Mexico has the military on it's southern borders with orders to shoot anyone caught crossing into Mexico?

Mexico wants America to be it's dumping ground for poor uneducated citizens that can work here and send their money back to Mexico. While the illegals are living here they hit the jack pot with medical care and welfare.

It's time to put a stop to open borders. When our next 9-11 comes, the terrorist will have gotten into America through our southern border, mark my words, through our southern borders.

I am sure the link is good, I was talking about the content, that poor Mexican Nationals living illegally in the USA are deprived of all hope for the future. Just to cute, or contrived to be believed.

As much as many would like to see this happen, they know it's along shot the Feds will comprehensively enforce immigration law.

State by state is how this thing will be dealt with. Illegals pouring into states that have yet to catch up with laws of their own. Many Illegals will return to Mexico, those stubborn few that remain will easily be mopped up and deported at the Feds leisure.

If by Bush "winning on this issue" you mean we will get a guest worker program, fine, most do not oppose that in itself. That is, without all the goodies, like licenses and amnesty.

I don't find it difficult to believe that there are pants-wetting libdems who believe that.

Hell, we've got 'em on this board.
