LOS ANGELES (AP) - If winning more than $2.5 million wasn't enough, ``Jeopardy!'' whiz Ken Jennings will have a shot at winning an additional $2 million - but the competition will be tougher this time around.
Bring It On! "I can't wait to see who I'll be up against in the finals," says 'Jeopardy' king, Ken Jennings.
Producers of the game show announced Tuesday a ``Super Tournament,'' which will pit Jennings in a final match against two survivors of a competition between nearly 150 past five-time winners.
Host Alex Trebek called the tournament the ``quest for Ken.''
``Ever since Ken started his amazing run, people have been speculating on how some of the past 'Jeopardy!' players would do against him,'' Trebek said in a statement. ``We're answering that question.''
Jennings, too, was anxious about the challenge.
``I can't wait to see who I'll be up against in the finals,'' he said.
Jennings earned $2,520,700 after a 74-game winning streak. He was beaten by California real estate agent Nancy Zerg.
The matches will begin airing in February or March, and the finals will air in May, said ``Jeopardy!'' publicist Jeff Ritter.
The third-place winner will receive $250,000 and the second-place winner, $500,000
I'll take "who gives a S" (with the answer starting with S) for $2000, please, Alex...
Ken: What is FedEx?
Alex: Oh, I'm sorry...the category was "who gives a S", not "who gives a F". What was your wager?
I will not watch Jeopardy as long as Jennings is on it. He's become such an annoyance my son went out of the way to AVOID watching the show. I don't think bad of the guy, but he's like "fingernails on a chalk board."
HA HA HA
I agree.
You stated my reaction exactly with that. That is the only game show I will watch and I love it. His run on it killed it for me. If I want a half an hour of smarmy, I'll call my mother in law.
Although, watch out. When I said much the same thing I was accused of being jealous and insecure.
What was annoying was that no one could beat him for so long.

Lucky you! The jibes against me were, "Ha, your so stupid you couldn't even figure out how to press the game button"!!! ;-))
How long did the woman who beat him last?

That was it. She lost the very next day !!!
I saw that episode. She didn't beat Jennings, he lost it all by himself. Big difference.
He threw the 75th game.
Exactly my point. I think they should bring back the 5-day rule where no one can go more than 5 days. I just got sick and tired and turning on the show and seeing him there. For a few days it was nice, a couple of weeks, amusing. But two whole months????????????? I like the variety but I guess the show will do what brings in ratings. It just won't be from me.
I got thick skin. I've heard worse.
Makes me wonder if they also pandered to his knowledge in certain areas and that also kept him going for so long????
We are a suspicious lot, aren't we? Sometimes, I thought that. Other times, they seemed to pick topics like potent potables and Broadway that would be out of his realm.
I was fascinated...he could've kept winning forever if he didn't get reckless with bidding the double Jeopardy's. I thought he seemed to realize he was getting tiresome and took more risks.
