I imagine the context is anti-illegal drugs, not anti-drug.

The AARP and Lyndon LaRouche have announced a campaign against private personal accounts for Social Security, even though the system was originally designed to provide such accounts to individuals. Larouche, a former Marxist and convicted felon who always runs for president, is issuing a mass pamphlet entitled "Bush's Social Security Privatization: A Foot-in-the-Door for fascism." Meantime, AARP, described by the New York Times as "the influential lobby for older Americans," is spending $5 million on an advertising blitz to defeat the Bush plan. In fact, as we disclosed, AARP The Magazine has been taken over by the counter-culture. Older Americans would be horrified if they knew.

I imagine too many seniors whine too much; in the 1980s while unemployed due to work injuries I drove my $100 '69 Dodge to a church for the gov't cheese, butter etc. where a bunch of old ladies with parlor hairdos and very late model Olds,Pontiacs, etc made snide remarks about my "youth and laziness" pitched just loud enough to be sure they were heard. I bet not one of the senior citizens was dealing with the severe chronic pain I endured until my back surgery some months later.

Personally I have long held in contempt those who believe reaching a certain age is an automatic ticket to free medical care , an rv and vacation home ,late model cars and vacation cruises on at the younger people's expense.

WE seldom hear from or about hose millions who retire quietly but we sure hear enough from the GIMME crowd at AARP !!!!
