Now that is a happy looking dog, did his duty and
is now more loved and respected in his family and neighborhood.

Woof!

Our pets are so smart and so devoted. When we had an earthquake in San Marino Calif in the late 1980s our cat went outside and refused to come in all day. After all the aftershocks stopped hitting, she came back inside. I think we should somehow tune in to animal ESP.

Hopefully, the dog won't end up as dinner any time soon.

I don't think Hindus eat dogs/meat...but after the disaster and all....Maybe Selvakumar has earned a place at the dinner table .....but not as the main course.

To: Pylon; All

And that reminds me of my neighbor's devotion to his dog.

My neighbor has a 13 year old dog with no legs. The dog was run over by a car and all four legs were crushed. They didn't have the heart to put the dog down so they continued to care for the dog. They kept it in a room with somebody in the family all the time. It could eat and drink from its bowl and when ever the call of nature would come, it would bark and one of them, usually one of the children would take it outside and hold it up while the dog relieved itself, then bring it back in the house.

When I first met the family, I thought the accident had happened maybe within the past year or so. I was surprised to find out the dog had been run over when it was a young pup of only nine months. They had kept a dog with no legs for over 12 years. When I inquired as to what the dog's name was, they informed me that the dog had never been given a offical or actual name.

They explained further that they felt it did not make much sense to give the dog a name since it wouldn't come when you called it.
