The one with the toddlers broke me. It's hard to find God in all of this. =(

Tears my heart out to see all the death and misery.

A quick, heartfelt prayer, here in my office, for the victims; especially the children who had no chance.

And to think that the people grieving while setting their loved ones in trenches and coffins are the 'lucky' ones.
Many will never find their missing loved ones, who are being burned and bulldozed into mass graves. Horrific.

All of these photos are unreal, but the one that gets me the most is the father crying and holding the little hand to his face and the photo below it of the father and family crying over the dead child. I felt like something was squeezing my heart when I first saw it. I cannot IMAGINE the grief and horror.

A horrible tragedy! So many children dead or orphaned in that part of the world! It's difficult to take it in.

Here are two amazing pictures I found for the first time today on the BBC website. Unbelievable devastation. This really brings it home for me. First picture was taken in 2003, the second was taken three days after the tsunami hit.

Throughout recorded history, we have seen earthquakes and tidal waves take a terrible toll on human life. Yet, we still build and populate coastal areas all over the world. We do so because it is so beautiful and alluring. It is also very dangerous. This is mans doing, not Gods.
