Driving home from Ventura yesterday (in KALLIFORNIA, I might add) and forgot to get gas. Ran out at the base of the Camarillo grade (not a great place to run out of gas). Managed to get off the freeway. We get out of the car realizing we had forgotten to get gas, and got a can out of the trunk. Looked around, nothing for MILES. Figured we would have to resort to cannibalism and was trying to position myself to knock the boyfriend over the head to avoid an ambush in the future when around the corner came a huge pick'em up truck. The guy driving and his passenger(never even got their names) are nascar workers. Had 50 gallons of fuel aboard his truck WITH a nozzle, etc. We were on the road within minutes. Before he left, he pointed at my Bush/Cheney sticker and said, "if this had been a Kerry sticker, I wouldn't even have looked over at you." So, Partner, if you're on here, and I can't imagine you aren't, Thanks.
(In the spirit of conciliation, I took my Bush-Cheney sticker off my truck after the election. But I've seen so many Kerry-Edwards stickers still on cars, I'm about to put a new Bush sticker back on the old pickup.)
Nice! (Cannabalism, LOL.)
Now that is what I would have called a LEGAL drive by!!
Bush/Cheny 2004 !!!
Definitely a great story!
BTW, AFTER the election in my very liberal town, I saw what seemed like hundreds of Bush stickers sprouting on the backs of cars everywhere! There was a lot of hostility here, and I guess people were afraid to put them on before the election. But it seems like being on the winning side gave them courage.
That'll teach ya. :-)
lol...although I did put on one of those stickers which reads "My heroes have always been cowboys" with the pics of W and Ronald Reagan.
Liberals don't know what "conciliation" even means.
:-)
On the flip side, I kept my small "Law Enforcement For Bush 2004" sticker on my SUV. I took a road trip to Seattle on Saturday and was flipped off three times. Maybe they don't like SUV's?
I've still got my Bush sticker on the car. I think I'll keep it there a little longer.
Where?
Yep, I left all of mine on my Honda and my truck.
I have two that say, "Give War a Chance" and "I "heart" Halliburton."
I've only got positive responses. People usually drive by and beep and give me a thumbs up!
Think I'll leave them on for a while...
I still have my magnetic BC04 in the truck. I'll have to pick up an anti Bush one in case I run out of gas in hostile territory!!

and they deliver FAST. I got buttons and stickers and bumper stickers, but my husband put his foot down at the yard sign. :-)
I think I still have a Reagan sticker or two on my pickup.
LOVE that!!!!
I'm glad I did after all
Mini Nascar ping...........
LOL...nothing like rubbing it in their noses.
I think they named it the "Emerald City" because of the similarity to OZ.
"But these unpleasant things existed only in a few remote parts of the Land of Oz. I suppose every country has some drawbacks, so even this almost perfect fairyland could not be quite perfect. Once there had been wicked witches in the land, too; but now these had all been destroyed; so, as I said, only peace and happiness reigned in Oz."
The last line belies the concept of tolerance from the left
"only peace and happiness reigned in Oz"
ChefKeith says it's about 112 octane. If it was Nascar fuel that car would be running good!!!!
EXCELLENT!
Bumping for yet another shameless plug for my FReeperpage (Read my tagline).
Also, if you look good in what your screen name is, that might not have hurt either.
Awesome!
We have a Bush/Cheney sign in the window to our non-storefront office. A new client of mine had driven by before his appointment to be sure he knew where it was, and told me that the presence of that sign in the window gave him more confidence in me!
Woo Hoo!
Where can I get one of those "W Still the President " stickers?
Message to self: DON'T TAKE OF THE W-04 STICKER---EVER!!!!!!
We rented a National rental car for a week over Christmas while visiting my son in Seattle. I brought a nice W sticker and slapped it on the trunk for grins. Didn't get many...
Thats a GREAT one. I Like it. ;)
When I get rid of my current Tahoe, the new owner can take my Bush 04 sticker off and the Bush2000 sticker as well.
I still have the one from 2000 on my truck, and the new one beside it.
Wow good job!
*ahem* I was with rather large, hairy, Italian boyfriend...... thus, the motivation was PURELY the 'W' sticker... LOL!
So, you were going to pre-empt him were you? That is the true Bush spirit.
Thanks. The magnetic paper isn't cheap, but the customization options for 'em makes it all worth it.
So does seeing the looks on the librats' faces in the rearview mirror.
A "still the president" yard sign? That'll really rub their noses in it. Heh, heh.
The bumper stickers are sold out. :o(
Check back; they're really good about resupplying; I've gotten a lot of stuff there and have been very pleased with the service.
Your tag say Daytona in 48 days, but EVERYONE knows the real race has always been the Daytona 200(Mar 10-13)!
Nothing like the high banks on 2 wheels, rear wheel spinning at over 180, while coming off turn 4.
Or from just 2 years back, no speed limit on pit road. 8-10 second pits, then back on the gas full throttle, through the infield!
Oh, darnit! Now I HAVE to have one!
Have you had any remarks about it from your neighbors???
Dang, that looks GOOD!!!
To paraphrase Don Meredith, "They're acknowledging that Bush is 'Number-1'."
That has to be one of the funniest nights I have EVER seen on TV.
Nice profile page. However, you should add the photo of Pres. Bush chatting with the National Guard car team from last year's Dayton race.
Yeah, I have to agree. (MNF, Houston getting blown out by the Raiders, I believe.) His was one of the all-time classic lines ever uttered on television.
Cosell: "Well, the clock on the wall runs out..."
Meredith: "That's the first break Houston has had all night."
When I see a Kerry/Edwards yard sign or bumper sticker, I pray for the occupants of the vehicle or home. Especially the children.
I have the I (heart) Haliburton on mine and i was called a nazi on the freeway once.
I once got a jump start because of my bush cheney in 2000 sticker! I seem to not mind it much when i get cut off from people with bush stickers on their car either for some reason.
