An Indian helicopter dropping food and water over the remote Andaman and Nicobar Islands has been attacked by tribesmen using bows and arrows.

There were fears that the endangered tribal groups had been wiped out when massive waves struck their islands.

But the authorities say the attack is a sign that they have survived.

Thanks for the chuckle, I really needed it.

Can't blame them for fighting with weapons that usually work on the other tribes. But, there's an upside. The tribe learned that arrows bounce when they come in contact with heavy metal. Their tribal leader will have to invent a better weapon against this kind of flying bird.

The helicopter should have carried loudspeakers broadcasting "WE ARE YOUR OVERLORDS! ALL YOUR ISLANDS ARE BELONG TO US! KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!!!" Followed by evil laughter and Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" played at peak volume.
