Kerry Trashes Bush in Baghdad

Visiting with U.S. troops in Baghdad on Thursday, failed presidential candidate John Kerry trashed Commander-in-chief George Bush for making "horrendous judgments" and "unbelievable blunders" that have undermined the war effort.

In a series of demoralizing comments first reported by the San Francisco Chronicle, the defeated Democrat griped, "What is sad about what's happening here now is that so much of it is a process of catching up from the enormous miscalculations and wrong judgments made in the beginning."

Kerry said that because of the Bush administration's mistakes, "the job has been made enormously harder."

Among the errors cited by the disgruntled Democrat: the decision by former U.S. occupation leader Paul Bremer's to disband the Iraqi army and purge the government of former members of Hussein's Baath Party.

Both moves were have fueled the Sunni insurgency, he claimed, lamenting, "Mistakes have been made."

Then, perhaps sensing he'd gone too far, the 2008 White House hopeful cut short the Bush-bashing, saying, "Now, it's a different time and different set of judgments that have to be made. I'm here to make judgments about what moves are available to us."

What's Ketchup Boy doing in Baghdad?

Continuing a life long pattern of skipping his Senate duties?

I find these remarks to be reminiscent of Genis Khan...

Please tell me that he took his lovely bride, Terry, with him on this trip. Our guys could use a little humour break!

I am outraged by this! Charges need to be brought against kerry NOW!

I will no longer tolerate the overtly subversive actions of this man. If you have not read the The Boston Manifesto you need to ~ kerry's 30 plus years of continuous anit-American behavior needs to end.

to disband the Iraqi army and purge the government of former members of Hussein's Baath Party

Of course you warned us about that 2 years ago. Right John?

Not a bomb-blowin' "insurgent" to be found when you need one?

Understood. But we've made several large mistakes in Iraq

1) Disbanding the Iraqi Army. We should have made them responsible for security. They had 3 corps of soldiers available.

2) Paying for stuff in dollars instead of the iraqi currency. We shot a large hole in what was left of their econimy whith that one.

3) We have missed many opportunities to create "good will" with the locals because of state department weenies who aren't in Iraq.

These obsevations come from a buddy of mine whose an Air Force intel guy who has spent a lot of time in country.

Mr. Kerry is a self-centered, supercilious, self-absorbed putz who shows no respect for US troops in Iraq. But then, has experience in THAT department, doesn't he? Schmuck.

This is a disgrace that a former candidate for President of the United States goes on foreign soil during wartime and trashes our President.

He's not only a sore loser who acts and speaks like a pompous fool he is also a disgrace to this country. By saying what he did he encouraged the enemy in their quest to kill more Americans and attack our troops fighting for ALL our freedoms.

Once again he proves to everyone that he was not, is not and never will be Presidential Fodder.

I simply cannot believe this guy after the crap he spewed out during the campaign. I wonder if he'll be negotiating with the insurgents next.

U.S. Senator John Kerry, discusses the state of the war in Iraq with Chief Warrant Officer Donald Hartson, 126th Aviation Battalion, during the Senators visit to Camp Al Tahreer in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, January 5, 2005. Kerry met with Soldiers from his state, asking them what he should tell Congress about the war in Iraq. The troops complained to Kerry that the good work that they are doing is not getting reported in the United States.

The purpose was ostensibly to visit member of the Massachusetts Nation Guard--you know--the Guard? That organization that was trashed by Terry McAlliffe and friends.
