This sort of interference with an active war op has got to be illegal. Isn't it? There are a number of laws dealing with treason that I believe are not being enforced. Realpolitik ties the hands of justice.

KERRY PASSES UP TERROR BRIEFING:

'I JUST HAVEN'T HAD TIME'

Fri Jul 09 2004 09:23:56 ET

http://www.drudgereport.com/flash.htm

Just hours before attending an all-star celebrity fundraising concert in New York, Dem presidential candidate John Kerry revealed how has been too busy for a real-time national security briefing.

"I just haven't had time," Kerry explained in an interview.

Kerry made the startling comments on CNN's LARRY KING LIVE Thursday night.

KING: News of the day, Tom Ridge warned today about al Qaeda plans of a large-scale attack on the United States. Didn't increase the -- you see any politics in this? What's your reaction?

KERRY: Well, I haven't been briefed yet, Larry. They have offered to brief me. I just haven't had time.

Developing...

And this?

Money trail behind Kerry's Iran stance

Candidate has financial ties to backers of mullah regime

Posted: October 3, 2004 © 2004 WorldNetDaily.com WASHINGTON – Sen. John Kerry's call for providing Iran with the nuclear fuel it seeks, even while the regime is believed to be only months away from developing nuclear weapons, is being linked to his campaign contributions from backers of the mullah government in Tehran. [snip]

"You talk about mixed messages," he said. "We're telling other people, 'You can't have nuclear weapons, but we're pursuing a new nuclear weapon that we might even contemplate using.'"

"Not this president," Kerry said. "I'm going to shut that program down, and we're going to make it clear to the world we're serious about containing nuclear proliferation."

Never mind that our rush to Baghdad saved countless lives, prevented the oil wells from being set on fire, kept the water safe, prevented the bridges from being destroyed.

Just little things like that.

"These obsevations come from a buddy of mine whose an Air Force intel guy who has spent a lot of time in country."

I'm an Army Intel guy - 17 years worth. I've been "in country". I'll be back later this year. I know many AF "Intel guys" - and as sharp as some of them are, I have to lay it on the line and tell you that they, as a group, tend to be very spoiled and left-leaning in comparison to other Services' personnel.

The reason is the Air Force's sense of priority and value that they, as a Service, place on creature comforts and instilling a sense of grandiose privelege in being one of their precious, chosen Airmen.

Don't get me wrong - I appreciate the value and skill sets the Air Force brings to the battle. I'm just telling it like it is based on my 17 years. I've spent about half my career in a Joint-Service environment with all four Services and DoD civilian personnel as well.

Air Force guys are good at their jobs, I'll say that. Their priorities (self-sacrifice, especially) and political leanings, however -- well, I have to call much into question in that regard.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that I wouldn't put all my eggs in one basket being carried by an Airman with an opinion.

Why does Kerry think he has a chance at the next Dem. nomination? I'm sure that that's what this is about. He honestly thinks he's got another shot.

But he doesn't.

1. Hillary's biological clock is ticking.

2. Kerry's past is STILL there. And if the Hildebeest needs to use it against him, she has the contacts to make it happen. She can get the dirt from her old anti-war cronies, and she can disseminate it in the hillary-friendly media. I'll bet Jane Fonda even sends her old photos.

3. The Kennedy wing is just about powerless now. The old guy is about ready to topple over, and they are seen now as a bunch of crazies. I doubt the dems will go for their 3rd Massachusetts liberal loss without some major party dissent.

VVAW supported demonstration, Washington Spring Offensive, April - May 1971

Kerry was a supporter of the "People's Peace Treaty," a supposed "people's" declaration to end the war, reportedly drawn up in communist East Germany.

It included nine points, all of which were taken from Viet Cong peace proposals at the Paris peace talks as conditions for ending the war.

One of the provisions stated: "The Vietnamese pledge that as soon as the U.S. government publicly sets a date for total withdrawal [from Vietnam], they will enter discussion to secure the release of all American prisoners, including pilots captured while bombing North Vietnam."

In other words, Kerry and his VVAW advocated the communist line to withdraw all U.S. troops from Vietnam first and then negotiate with Hanoi over the release of prisoners. Had the nine points of the "People's Peace Treaty" favored by Kerry been accepted by American negotiators, the United States would have totally lost all leverage to get the communists to release any POWs captured during the war years.

Vice President Spiro T. Agnew said that Kerry, "who drew rave notices in the media for his eloquent testimony before Congress," was using material ghosted for him by a former Kennedy speech writer (Adam Walinsky).

Picture #2, VVAW supported demonstration during the Washington Spring Offensive, April - May 1971.

Notice the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong flags.

1) Disbanding the Iraqi army was the right thing to do. A good number of those committing acts of Terrorism in Iraq are former members of the Ba'ath party and Ba'ath army stooges. If we were currently using Saddam's army instead of the ING I would doubt they would be so successful in combating the terrorists. Perhaps the mistake was not disbanding the army or dismissing the Ba'athist but letting these guys go home.

2) Studying post-war economies of Europe and you'll see pictures of people with wheelbarrows of paper money going to buy bread. We did not see pictures of this from Iraq (if it happened I'm sure we would know). The economy of Iraq needed stability especially after 12 years of economic discord. Using a currency rock solid around the world that would not be deflated by events in Iraq actually was the right choice. The dinar did not wildly deflate because it was not battered by the post-war situation. If the US dollar was not used there would be no value to the dinar, no wealth, and no means of conducting business.

3) Weenies?

I am an Air Force Intel guy...22 years, 7 in Intel. You are mostly right in your assessment and I have been Joint Service for 5 years, former SSA. I've been on the ground at sea, just about everywhere. Sad to say most of my Air Force Intel brethren disappointed me. They have no clue about patrols, mine fields, ambushes, hot racks or sleeping in a non-air condition/heated tent for 120+ days. I do.

Please don't lump all Air Force Intel types in that group.

The guy I think Taylor is getting info from is REMF getting Intel from CNN international.

Well, I think he is not demoralizing our troops cause I think they all know better than that. However what he is doing and saying on foreign soil to me encourages the enemy and if that isn't treason I don't know what is. Seems the Senator hasn't changed much from when he testified back in the 60's. He should hang his head in shame.

"What's Ketchup Boy doing in Baghdad?"

Demoralizing the troops and giving aid and comfort to the enemy.

Note, that he is visiting, just before the Iraqi elections. His statement give encouragement to the terrorists, signaling, that the US may not have the will to continue to fight, if the terrorists keep killing a few Americans here and there.

Kerry and the liberals are keeping the terrorists hopes alive, that we will pull out and letting them take over.

Kerry should be tried for treason -- his treason during the Vietnam War is clear cut.
