Stopped by the protest outside of Congress--great entertainment!
Myself | January 6th, 2005 | Our Man In Washington

Posted on 01/06/2005 12:10:12 PM PST by Our man in washington

I stopped by the leftist protest outside of the U.S. Congress today. They were protesting Bush's victory in the election.

The speaker was announcing that they had planned to send a mailing to 20,000 local Volvo owners saying "If you're smart enough to buy a Volvo, you're smart enough to know Bush stole the election." Apparently, Volvo wasn't too happy with the idea, so they had to scale that one back.

He then announced that the Capitol Police had gotten nervous about all the money changing hands at the rally. The rally organizers had been selling stuff. To the delight of the crowd, the speaker announced that all the stuff they had been selling was now free. The speaker said they had plenty of free condoms left.

I hope they were not Planned Parenthood condoms:

It just warms my heart to see leftists blow money on the dumbest s**t. When the demise of the left is written you'll find it in the comedy section of the bookstore.

"If you're smart enough to buy a Volvo, you're smart enough to know Bush stole the election."

In 1981, I was in a car with a bunch of other commercial real estate agents on "listing tour day." One of them called me on my stereotyping owners of older volvos as liberals with bumper stickers. I made a bet with the other five guys (yes, we were six in a car) that the next older volvo we saw would have a liberal bumper sticker.

Well, we drove three more blocks, took a right, and a left, and there, on the side of the road was a parked four year old volvo. It had a greenpeace, ERA (equal rights amendment) and two other liberal bumper stickers on it.

I ate fairly well for a few days.

I love to stereotype - especially in front of liberals. They hate it so when I am right.
