A BRITISH man who simulated the murders of nine schoolgirls after drugging them while they visited his daughters was jailed for 18 years by a Hull court today.

Former school governor Glyn Martin, 53, pleaded guilty to a total of 57 counts of indecent assault, child abduction, indecency with a child, administering noxious substances and taking indecent photos.

The court heard Martin used his two daughters as bait to lure their schoolfriends into his house where he gave them tablets, which he claimed were vitamins, shortly before they went to bed.

As they slept in a "stupefied" state he took photographs of them with placards, detailing descriptions of how he wanted to kill them, placed on their bodies.

Nearly 6000 indecent photographs were found at his house, the court heard. On undeveloped rolls another 12,000 images were found.

Martin, a face painter and school governor, took the pictures between the mid-1980s and 2003.

18 years of incarceration? That's it? Considering how "touchy-feely" the criminal justice system in the UK is these days, he will probably receive scores of rate-payer subsidised goodies for those 18 years. Therapists will tell him that it is really society's fault and that there are no "good" or "bad" feelings and other psychobabble.

Sick freaks like this are considered as poor victims of bad upbringing, a repressive society and culture, or misunderstood; therefore it's not really his fault he went a little overboard.

I don't think that suggestion speaks well to the sensitivies of this particular situation.

I think sick freaks like this should be released in a dark alley where the fathers of those girls are waiting.
