I'll go with the Hawks and Bolts. But not against the line, which I do not know.

Seeing as how the game hasn't started yet, Seattle still has a chance.

Which is better than the Vikings' odds so far. ;-)

Ditto that. And I say that as a Raiders fan. :-)
To: Petronski
Latest line was Hawks by 4 and Bolts by 6. So you picked the favorites.
San Diego is alive and happy right now - we haven't been to the dance in 10 years. And nobody knows if the Bolts are Cinderella tonight or for real. We hope for real.
It should be rainy for the game, which might favor the Jets. But the Chargers played well in the rain against Denver and played well in the snow in Cleveland.
Should be interesting -- my predictions are:
St Louis 34, Seattle 28
San Diego 27, New York 24.

NFC WildcardStl 31 Seattle 27 -- A shoot-out that could go either way
AFC Wildcard
SD 31 Jets 16 -- Shouldn't be close despite wet field detering SD's high-flying offense. The Chargers have been solid; Lately the Jets psyche and performance is in tatters.

Just heard that John Abraham and Chrebet are not playing today. Anyone have confirmation of this?
For the record, it's been raining for 3 days here so it's going to be very slick out there...so, can Tomlinson cut? How will it affect Curtis Martin....
But it sure is fun to be back in the playoffs.Jets radio (WABC) color guy is saying that he doesn't hold out much hope for the Jets. From his mouth to G-d's ears!

Thanks to their embarrasing loss to the Rams last week which kept my white hot Saints out of the playoffs, I'll be rooting for a Chargers rout this evening.

Rams 24- Seahawks 17
Pure hunch.
Chargers 34- Jets 16
A disaster waiting to happen for the Jets. Pennington has sucked lately (I couldn't believe some of the idiotic passes he made in his last game against the Pats), and they need to beat the Chargers pass defense to win, since the Chargers are hard to run on. I say it won't happen.
And I'm mourning the news that Ty Law is done for the playoffs. So now both of our starting cornerbacks are done, and our best D-lineman may be as well. These playoffs could get ugly for the Pats. They might be able to outscore the Colts (the Cheifs and their non-exsistant defense managed that), but I'm dreading these playoffs with the injuries the Pats have suffered.
To: CounterCounterCulture
Bolts & Rams (not that the NFC game will matter one whit).

If any team can plug the holes, the Pats can.
Don't worry, I feel a big game by Brusci and Harrison.

As classic as the Chargers Uni's are, the Seahawks all look like Mutant Ninja Turtle costume rejects.
Meanwhile, I really like how ESPN uses the skycam.

Just checked local SD forecast -- oooo, touchdown -- and there's light-to-moderate rain forecasted pretty much through the whole game. Maybe a 1/4 inch or so. Challenge???

Actually, I find their banter much more entertaining than the CBS or FOX crews, which tend to be plastic. These guys argue and insult each other. It's at least refreshing.
Any bets on this challenge?
