The cuts led McIlhattan to determine that the little dog had been picked up by an eagle. The marks were in fact caused by an eagle digging its talons into Freddie's neck. Maybe... ;~D Makes for a better story than "A Rottweiler got him" I guess... ;~D

Whenever there are large numbers of big birds in my backyard I won't let my dog outside because I have this fear something like this is going to happen. I think it comes from watching the movie "The Birds" when I was a kid. My husband things I'm crazy.

Sure. Even eagles know that you'll just be hungry again an hour later...

Maybe the eagle dropped the Pekinese when it espied a nice German Dachshund.

.The eagle likely dropped Freddie at some point, leaving the dog to find his way home.MRE, Meal Rejected by Eagles.

I can't have a pooch (I have allergics in the household). I wish I could adopt that little fella as my cyber-pup.
