Posted on 01/11/2005 1:10:06 PM PST by Jim Robinson
Only one more full week to the Inauguration. You won't want to miss the excitement and pageantry. The dinners, the Inauguration itself, the parades, the balls, great fun, great fellowship and great memories to last a lifetime!
Not too late to get tickets!
Hope to see you there!!
P.S. If you can't go to the ball, but would like to help someone else get there, please donate to our general ball fund. Donations are being accepted to help cover the costs of inviting honored guests such as wounded members of our armed forces recuperating at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Naval Hospital and others. We've already received enough in donations to get at least a dozen or more soldiers and guests to the ball and to offer discounts to several others. We'd like to invite as many as we possibly can.
thanks for the info Jim.. also is everything good with the update?
Also, if you are one of the ones who ordered tickets by mail-in check and have not yet sent in your check, please let me know by FReepmail or email. It's probably too late now for your check to arrive in Fresno as Saturday is the last day we can pick up at the PO Box. Let us know if you're still planning on attending the ball, and bring your check or credit card to the door. We will honor your order price.
Hope to see you there!
Thanks very much.
See you there!
See you next week BUMP!!!!!!!!
With your purple hair...
It's not purple.
Those pictures bring back great memories.....I really wanted to go this time but I am closing on my new house on the 19th
My wife and I are sorry we will have to miss the best ball in town. We are volunteers on the Inaugural Committee and are assigned to work at one of the crowded "official" ones. By the way, not only do those have cash bars, but I've been told that they aren't even serving food!
Hey Jim. Hubby and I are coming to the Ball. We just bought our tickets. It'll be nice seeing you again.
Attended in 2001. Sadly (sort of) Mrs. jimfree has scored tix for an official ball. Will be going to that this year. Have fun at the Freeper ball!
P.S. Thanks to you and your wife, for being volunteers with the PIC. I know you guys are working very long hours.
There are many PIC volunteers who have been working with little sleep over the past few weeks. My "real" job has kept me from getting that involved.
We may try to stop by the Washington Plaza afterwards, but we won't be certain of our exact schedule and duties until this Saturday.
Thanks for the bump!
See you next week!
Thanks for the Bump! See you there!
We'll miss you, Good luck with the closing.
It's gonna be GRATE!!
Ok, you're gonna miss us, LOL
Thanks for the bump!
Great!! See you there!!
You too!! Thanks for the bump!!
Looking forward to it! See you there!!
See you next week.
You'll be majorly missed.....but closing on a new house is so exciting.......so your absent note is valid.
I'm just kidding with you. I have to write an excusal note for my daughter to not be in school on the 21st, so it's on my mind.
Good luck with your closing and best wishes to you with a new house.
We leave in one week. Can hardly wait. LOL! See you there!!
I can't wait!!!!!
I barely had a chance to do anything more than introduce myself to you in 2001..........I'm hoping to have much better luck next week.
You're flying not driving, right?..........or did I miss something here? (of course that would not be unusual for me)
Yup. Our flight leaves next Tues. Are we there yet!??
Are we there yet!??
I'm saying the same thing.........
We may live in Virginia, but because of where in VA we live, our drive time is probably not going to be all that much less than your fly time from the west coast........but I don't care.
4 years ago I didn't know a soul.......now I'm afraid I won't get a chance to meet in person all the folks I've gotten to know that I know will be there!!!!!
You have a safe trip, my FRiend.....and make sure you're not carrying a butane lighter...
"Brown" for TD1 and "light brown" for TD2. Yeehaa!
Colors not shown.
We are all getting anxious!
I heard the local advertising today for the ball. Is it getting results here in the DC area? No other Ball has the same drinks, food, and great Freeper Friends in attendance!
It will be nice to see you again.
Have you seen the Bush family gowns?
I'm sorry...............but that is HILARIOUS
My husband called me from the road yesterday to tell me about hearing the FReeper Ball ad. And to ask me if I knew about it.....which I didn't.
I can't get DC stations at home, so haven't heard it myself, but he thought I may have known about it.
Yeah, Kristinn says his phone is ringing off the hook. Who knows? We may sell this thing out yet.
See you there!!
(We'll have to take a group photo of all the girls together. They're growing up before our eyes, aren't they?)
How about you? Got that "knock-out" gown yet?
See you saturday, I hope.
I helped with the "walk-up" crowd. They had been sent from other parties that were too crowded to even move.
Promised food etc. they handed over the $ and seemed happy to have a place to go. They had been "all dressed up and no place to go"!
That is good to hear.
The commercial is very well done. Excellent writing of the script!
See you at the planning meeting on Saturday!
Andy Parks sounded like he was having fun reading it.
Oh, wow. Well, if there's a repeat, the walk-ups may put us over the top again.
I can't believe you got there while I was here!!
Sorry to have missed the chance to see you...even in my hurricane "beaten" home.
