St. Peters converted to a mosque? The priceless images of the Sistine chapel defaced and painted over? Every church, and cathedral plundered and destroyed? The treasure vaults of the Vatican plundered and destroyed? Every priest, deacon, bishop and cardnial put to death? The Pope executed, possibly beheaded publicly?
Yeah, it'll be disasterous. I'm sure that some are thinking, "That's Catholicism, not Christianity." Yet how many of the offshoots of Catholicism identify themselves solely by their Opposition to the church in Rome. Without the church, what function will they serve?
And this only scratches the surface of it. Islam's been champing at the bit to kill Rome for 1500 years and now they're going to get their chance. You thought there were celebrations when 911 happened. Just wait til Rome falls and their ancient enemy is dead and conquered. THAT will be cause to celebrate.
There are other thoughts that I don't dare utter, even to myself. But these should do for now.
Godspeed
Intresting post. Thanks
First of all, Christ is not dead, nor will He be conquered (I read the back of the Book and He wins).
Second, Islam has raised it's hand against Israel and there is not one nation, government, culture, ruling family or belief system that has done that and survived and that is an obvious historical fact beginning with the exodus from Egypt.
I can take a hint, the future may look bleak for Europe, but based on history, Islam's fate is sealed. Hegemony is not the future for the followers of Allah.
Europe has no Future. It has aborted it' future!
As for original sin, otherwise known as man's fallen nature, this is one of the few theological concepts empirically demonstrated by human history.
I got a feeling that writer of the article does not like French and Germans.
For any individual adult from a purely economic point-of-view, more kids makes less sense in our current economic/governmental system. It's a sort of Prisoner's Dilemma where more kids in general helps everyone with more people paying into Social Security, etc. However, any one individual makes out like a bandit if he gets all the benefits without the cost of bringing up a bundle or two of joy.
The only reasons to have children are primarily non-economic ones that are inspired by individuals' personalities and values. I believe that over time those people who don't want to have babies will be pushed out by those who happen to want to have babies. At the point when everyone thinks that the world population is about to plunge off a cliff, a new baby boom will arise from the remaining souls who were the offspring of those "idiots" who just decided they wanted to have some kids to take care of.
Nations have been experimenting with government programs to encourage more births. So rather than scaling down the nanny state, the answer has been to ramp it up even more.
The evidence now coming in is that most of these efforts are for nought as the benefits they can afford to provide do not compensate for the costs of brining up baby.
If there were no Social Security or Medicare system, and people had to have kids in order to guarantee their safety and prosperity in their old ages, then people would essentially be required to have kids, as it was in the old days.
Trying to get 51% of the population of any country to agree to go back to such an arrangement, however, is a pipe dream IMHO.
No they won't. All infidel art will be burned when sharia law is established.
