Go Eagles and Colts. I'm ready... Let's go!

Jets should have won that friggin' game. I am sick to my stomach.

And have more SuperBowl titles than the other three teams combined :-)

Favre and the Pack are going to destroy the lowly Eagles! (NOTE: I'm still in denial that Green Bay lost at home last weekend.)

well, it's only fair since San Diego should have won their game. Why, with little confidence in their kicker, did not San Diego go for two in regulation???

I hope the Eagles get the snot beat out of them.
I respect some of the players, but absolutely despise the Eagles fans (except for Freepers fans, nobody is perfect)
I hope this makes four years in a row that they CHOKE, CHOKE, CHOKE, CHOKE and are denied, so the fans go home and beat each other up, just like the thugs most of them are.
Andy Ried made a serious mistake letting the "stars" sit for so long.

Atlanta blowing out the Rams put me to sleep by the 3rd quarter. Too bad I missed the Steelers and Jets game. That poor field goal kicker, missed 2?!!
After watching the Falcons last night, it will take a good team to beat them. Or the Rams just really suck.
To: Popman
LOL!
Bump to that. I cant stand Moss but would love to see the Eagles lose.
To: CounterCounterCulture
I can't help but laugh at the Jets for having Doug Brien as their kicker. The Vikings had him as their kicker 3 years ago, and I'll always remember going to the game where he missed a bleeping extra point and a field goal, which allowed the other team to eventually win. As we're driving home and listening to the postgame show (which all fans of this game should tune in to at www.kfan.com after today's game), Coach Tice calls in and tells the hosts that he's releasing Brien the next day! I think he did stay on for kick offs, but having the head coach call into a talk show after a game is classic.

To beat the Falcons, the opposing D only has to shut down Vick.

I'm bummed out the Jets lost too. Because that would have meant that the AFC game would come to Foxboro if the Pats win today. Now we have to travel to Pittsburgh if we can get past Indy today. Big Ben is looking beatable these days, maybe the Pats can do it next week if they can beat Manning today.
Anyway, it was fun reading the NY Post this morning. They are brutal on the Jets.
To: BIGLOOK
I, too am a depressed Cheezhead in denial. However, I think Michael Vick and the Falcons are going to be very hard to beat. He is great. This is what it is all about - THE PLAYOFFS!

I don't have any favorites here, but I do hope Randy Moss gets his bell rung a few times. I don'r really dislike the Vikings, only Moss.

Latest weather for Colts fans - snow storm is building up. Should be snowy and 26 in Foxboro during most of the game. Conditions will get worse as snowfall increases, temps drop and winds increase as the game goes along.

The year the Bucs won the Super Bowl beating the Eagles in the NFC championship games, their trash talking was unbelievable.
I enjoyed that game more than the actual SB.

I would love to see Peyton Manning get it, but alas, am an old Pats fan- since the days when they were the Boston Patriots...so am wanting to see the Pats take it.

dubyaismypresident: But do the Steelers and Falcons cover the points? 9 and 7 respectively. Me: No for the Steelers. Yes for the Falcons.
Steelers 20, Jets 17. Steelers did not cover.
Falcons 47, Rams 17. Falcons covered big time. Two for two ain't bad.
Now for today's games. Philly is giving 8 to the Vikes. Philadelphia will cover. The Vikings secondary is sub-par and very exploitable for McNabb, even without Owens.
The Patriots are 1.5 point favorites. Give it to the Pats. Outdoor conditions will slow down the Colts high-powered offense. The Patriots running game will also keep Manning on the sidelines. In this post I predicted a Pats victory by the score of 23-17.
Let the games begin!

The rest of the country isn't going to watch an all-PA Super Bowl, at not in as large a number as previous Super Bowls.
I hope Pittsburg makes it, but I suspect the New England - Indianapolis winner will eliminate them. As far as the Eagles, they should be renamed the Beagles.
To: BIGLOOK
To beat the Falcons, the opposing D only has to shut down Vick. Yes, but thats easier said than done. If they worry about Vick that opens up the backfield and visa versa. That guy is both QB and RB, but unlike most before him he is good at both.
Being a Cowboy fan I have no dog in this hunt. So im looking for a team to root for. For now the Falcons will fill that need with the Colts a close 2nd.
Did you see some of the dropped balls by the Rams last night? Hard to get a comeback going that way.
To: CounterCounterCulture
Uhhh, Steelers have won 4 Superbowls. Have I been asleep for a number of years and missed something?

Woohoo, I'm picking the Vikes and the Pats. I just don't think the Eagles can dust it off, the starters have had 3 weeks off, they're missing half their offense, and even with the full offense they didn't play well in weeks 14 and 15. That's 6 weeks ago the last time we saw this team perform, that's too long.
And never bet against the One True Bill, he's just too good at game planning.

The Indianapolis Colts were once the Baltimore Colts (as we both know from the NFL later AFC). However, the Colts used to have a franchise in Miami (Miami Seahawks) in 1946. The All-American Football Conference was disbanded in 1949. The team moved to Baltimore after faltering in Miami.
An AFL franchise was supposed to given to Minnesota, however, the NFL beat the AFL to the punch and after the disaster with the Dallas Texans (Now KC Chiefs), the AFL awarded a team to Oakland.

It's NFL playoff time in New England...and according to plan, the skies are steel-gray and snow is in the air. Just got back from an 8-mile hike in the woods and now I'm going to bring in some firewood and watch the games by a roaring fire. I love this weather and this time of year!

I'm not a cheezhead, my son is. My team dropped the ball long ago. IMO, the winner of the Pats/Colts game will take it all. I was surprised yesterday with a good game put up by the Jets against Pittsburgh, but have no faith in Pittsburgh against either the Pats or the Colts.
In the NFC, I see talent lacking teamwork. The only team I liked this year was the Packers. I think all Superbowls should be held at Lambeau Field; it would bundle up the half time T & A shows.

FWIW- I doubt the Eagles will let them put it up, and if they did, Fox won't show it, but WIP just reported that someone has a large banner that has a picture of Randy Moss with the words "NOT TODAY BUCKWHEAT" below him.
