Thinking it or even saying it in anger or in a controlled situation is totally different from saying it in front of an audience. I was raised to believe that certain words were not acceptable IN PUBLIC........it was called manners......many today have not been raised accordingly, unfortunately.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

The story was the quickly apologized Fuel comment, and that's it. I abhor the degradation of the language and feel that the "f-bomb" is all-too-common, but this is just a padded one-graf blurb.

I go by the Al Davis slogan, 'just win baby'. Not all 62 million of us are christian conservatives. Kid Rock, Arnold, Kelsey Grammar, Ron Silver don't see eye to eye on everything. But if we're going to win we need a large coalition of folks working together. I'm hopefull as the 'new media' gains power, that values that I believe in become the focal point of the republican party. But we're not there yet and we need to be in power to change things. And yet we've got a change for fundamental change with the Supreme and federal courts. And withouth the support of Kid Rock and liberals like Arnold and Silver I don't think W would be in position to make our federal courts the most conservative in history.

It think abuse of profanity shows a lack of courtesy, as well as indicating a rather small arsenal of adjectives on the part of the cusser.

As all good conservatives know, arsenals should be as large as humanly possible. :)

Kid Rock is too "vulgar" but let's invite Elton John and his boyfriend to the White House for dinner. It will be a real hoot! Family Values right?

I have been listening to Kid Rock for years and haven't even heard of the songs this guy is talking about in the article.

The lead singer of the band Fuel proclaimed, "Welcome to the greatest ----ing country in the world." Brett Scallions followed with a quick apology of "excuse my language."

Gotta buy more Fuel albums.

They did "Won't Back Down" on the Daredevil soundtrack. Jammin' tune.

The real question is: Did people cheer in encouragement or agreement after he publically profaned?

Sometimes, in a brief microsecond, we catch glimpses into the value systems if not the souls of many.

Tell me something new.

Fuel's "Won't Back Down" is the perfect song for the WoT.

"I won't back down, I will not bow, I've come to bring you Hell..."

"Welcome to the greatest ----ing country in the world."

Classy, real classy.

People everywhere have lost all sense of decency and respect.

The "F" Bomb??

Well that does it.

The Inaugural Event "entertain" should now be officially deemed "cool and hip," right?

I guess the GOP's image as "uptight fuddy-duddies" can finally be put to rest once and for all. /sarcasm
