A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 1.19.05

President and Mrs. Bush visited the National Archives to view some of our nation's founding documents.

In spite of some Senators Behaving Badly (particularly John Kerry and Barbara Boxer), the Senate Foreign Relations Committee voted Wednesday to confirm Condoleezza Rice as secretary of state; the nomination now goes to the full Senate for a vote.

Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island: one day to go till W2!

Let's just call her the alleged governor.

The court is supposed to hear Rossi's contest case tomorrow. It was delayed a week due to all the challenges filed.

;-)

My dad always said "Close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades!"

Not sure what I just did...I don't post often!

I hope Rossi pulls through. I don't know all the details, but it sounds like the Dems have been caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

Laura Bush looks amazing. I can't wait for tomorrow. I'm taking off from work and will be glued to CSPAN or FNC for the whole day.

Thanks Gretchen for always including the captions. I know it is a lot more work, but it is most appreciated.

Thanks for the early dose, Gretchen. The festivities are beginning ......YAY!!!

Was flipping channels, and on CNN, Larry Gatlin just gave an earful to Woof and Joody of why he and the Red States LOVE President Bush .. how long they've known the family .. and that he was there in Austin, singing at the prayer gathering after the 2000 election results were finally decided .. an event that he labels sincerely using the word, "God" .. a word he says he's not ashamed to say. He layed it on HEAVY

He went on and on about Bush, God .. and the difference between the Red States and east/west coast people .. who he says may not believe it, but he can actually count to 11 without taking his boots off. And, says he: he even graduated from college .. oh .. it was priceless!

I was looking for an excorcist reaction from Judy Woodruff -- with a medic getting ready to apply CPR .. but she got through her part ... making no response to his comments at all .. just a thank you. (I WAS JUST GLOATING ... WITH A SMILE T H I S BIG ;-)

Enjoy every second, Dosers! Catch ya on the back 40 of the Live Thread.

Not only were the dems caught with their hands in the cookie jar of Washington's governor's race, they were caught baking the (excess) cookies they used to stuff the jar to overflowing.

I'm glad God is on the side of righteousness because this stinks to high heaven and He has been moving some mountains to get things this far. Gregoire sits in the governor's office but I am praying it won't last, that Rossi AND the citizens of this beautiful state get our revote, and Chrissy goes down to ignominy.

Dang, it's a wonder CNN didn't cut away to one of those "Experiencing Technical Difficulties" signs.

Hi anonymoussierra.

Poland, be strong! You've got some interesting neighbors who need a bright light shining on them.

Thanks for the photos and all the work you put into getting them. I can't wait to see pictures tomorrow!
I generally work nights but bummer of bummers I have to work tomorrow day. I am putting on a big party in the evening though and a friend is going to record the inauguration and we'll watch it at the party. I think I have some 50 folks coming so I really should do my baking so I can sleep tonight. :)
