The protestors might turn their backs on W's motorcade as it passes by (pffft), but they'll be shivering while they do it :)

I am very disappointed that the Inaugural Gala, with both the Bush and Cheney families in attendance, has not been on any channel that I can find. I did catch a glimpse of the Gatlin Brothers and Reuben Stoddard on MSNBC, but that's it. Unless it just started, nothing on CSPAN either (last time I checked CPAN1 had Tony Blair and CPAN2 had the Mayor of Carmel, Indiana.

Thanks Gretchen!
W looks terrific. I think he got lucky, and had a good long night's sleep afterward.

It is gorgeous. Just think -- Bill Clinton never rode in this new car and likely never will. Neither will Algore or Jean Francois Kerrie and TeRAYza. Hehehehehehe...

Thanks for posting that link.
Excerpt - Mrs. Bush says there's one aspect of the inauguration she hopes is different this time than it was four years ago. "I hope that we'll actually be able to pay attention to it," she says. "I think, four years ago, it was such a whirlwind that we didn't really observe it, we couldn't stand back from it, and I hope we'll be able to do that. I'm going to try to make notes every night so I really can remember things that happened that day and feelings that I had. So I think it'll be great."
I hope Laura and her family have a blast.

Oh .. he was just fabulous .. smiling, cheerful, full of enthusiasm, happiness and conviction, and firm in his statements. He was NOT about to apologize to ANYONE. He goes back a long way with the Bushes, and you can tell how much he loves them. Jooody asked him .. "not to defile any confidences .. but what DO you and the President talk about: music? sports?" He told the CNNumbskulls that he just offers his help to Pres. Bush everytime he see him .. that he'll go anywhere or do anything to help out.. even go to Baghdad. What a handsome prince!
Uh oh -- FREEPER ALERT!!! Brit just announced that freerepublic.com had filed an application to protest the protestors at the Inauguration as did another group !!!! YAY KRISTIN!!! and Angelwood, Dr. Raoul!! YOU and all the DC FReepers ROCK!!

Bet it doesn't go very far on a gallon of gas though!LOL! You're right, I'm sure. The thing is a tank. A gorgeous one, but a tank nevertheless. The terms of Cadillac's contract with the Secret Service include restrictions on discussing all the security equipment on the car. But the armor alone must make it weight considerably more than the retail version of the same model.

Brit just announced that freerepublic.com had filed an application to protest the protestors at the Inauguration as did another group !!!! Very cool. While I'm enjoying our 80 degree weather here in Southern California, this is one of those very rare times I wish I lived in the DC area.

YOU and all the DC FReepers ROCK!!Awesome bunch of FReepers!! I hope they get those lowlife scumbags off the streets and away from the President. I am kinda afraid that they might just be crazy enough to do something dangerous--especially after reading bits from some of the radical DUmmie threads quoted on the DUmmie FUnnies!
