I'm here!
Got up just in time to here E.D. Hill talking to Sen. Saxby Chambliss. He brought her some Georgia peanut butter and she said:
"Could we get Senator Kerry's MANSERVANT to make the sandwiches for us?!"
LOL!

I'm setting the VCR because we'll be at a neighborhood inaugural party.
Be ready for the nitpickers who will criticize every dress the Bush women wear. They are the most attractive First Family we've ever had, imo.

I guess tradition. The old inauguration date used to be on my birthday of March 4th. It was moved to January sometime early in the 20th century I think.

My hubby and I were talking this morning about how evil the world has become and how even back in biblical times, there would be evil kings who would lead the people astray and then God would provide a good king and the people would turn back to God for a generation or two. Thank You, God, for providing us with a good king. God bless our great President and First Lady.

DC was built on swampland originally. In the summer it isn't exactly pleasant weather either. Very humid I understand.

Yes... before 1937, Presidents were sworn in on March 4th. The 20th Amendment, ratified in 1933, moved it up to January 20th because the extra two months after the November election gave a President who lost an undeserved grace period in office.

You need DirecTV! It's cheaper than most cable service and owned by News Corp, so you will always have Fox News!
To: Claytay
ED called Pelosi on it though. She repeated what Boxer said and commented again that Boxer called her a liar.
I got the feeling that the dems know they stepped in it because she danced over Boxer and changed the topic.
