I love Imprimis. God Bless Zell Miller, too, for being what he is and being damn proud of it.

Zell is another reconstructed southern democrat who has realized

that the party has been taken over by the anarchist Marxists

and useful idiots.

The leadership of the Democrat Party is collectivist

statist elitist and still mixed with sheet clad members of the Klan.

Remember the left is not anti-war

They are just on the other side and anti-america.

"If you take one thing away with you tonight, I pray it is this: American civilization deserves protection and has earned the benefit of the doubt. Do not let barbarians use our civility and freedom to destroy our liberty. Do not let barbarians sack civilization simply because they knock gently. Holding the course for freedom is hard. But with all I’ve learned from study, age and experience, I believe, with every fiber of my body, that there comes a time when a civilization has to choose between good and evil, between freedom and tyranny."

'atta boy, Zell!

I posted this article back on the 9th. It's great. Zell=Commen Sense!

Every once in a great while a statesman rises above petty politics to speak the truth. It's men like Zell that created this country, and I thank God for his forthrightness and determination in the 2004 Presidential Election. He made a HUGE difference!

Already read it. Good stuff.

I wonder if Zell is gonna go back to teaching school. I'm probably going to grad school pretty soon. I'd go wherever he is teaching just because he's teaching there.

I think Zell did play a big roll in how easily we swept the South and West Virginia (if that doesn't count as South). He gave the green light to so many southerners who have voted D since the dark ages to vote R this time.

He made a difference elsewhere too. I live in Washington State, and I know a few folks who were on the fence, but when the heard a Democrat blast Kerry that hard, they decided that Bush must be the right choice.

"I wish we lived in a time where you could challenge a man to a DUEL!"

But you can. And people do. Legally. Just not lethally.

Pay for some time at the local gym. Put on the gloves. Pick a couple of charites. Roll camera. And don't pull any punches, even though both would look a little awkward, drunken boxing, without much punch. Trying to knock the other guy out, nonetheless.

Matthews is heavier. Younger. He might be quicker. Or at least he might put more behind his punches. If nothing else, he is heavier.

>> Many of us can remember when this view arrived: It was the 1972 election when the Democratic Party of FDR, Harry Truman and JFK was taken over by the anti-war Democratic Party of George McGovern. From that point on, a post-Vietnam mindset dominated the Democratic Party. We never got over it. <<

Gee Zell, if you REALIZED the RAT party had been overrun by anti-American Marxists since "1972", why did you wait until 2003 to do something about it? As a "conservative Democrat", why did you vote for the likes of George McGovern, Walter Mondale, Michael Dukakis, etc.? Why did you refuse to call for Clitnon's resignation in 1998? How is voting to make little Tommy Dasshole plurality leader in 2001 a "conservative" vote? After the Democrat Party became militantly pro-abortion in 1973, why did you loyally parrot their abortion on demand agenda until "discovering" you were you "pro-lfie" with the birth of your "great-grandchildren" (not children or grandchildren, mind you)? I don't suppose your sudden embrace of "conservativism" had anything to do with the fact you announced you were not running for another term and could therefore vote however you wanted in order to sell some books about your "Independence" in the Senate?

Some on FR may continue worship you, Zig Zag. I appricipiate you stabbing your own party in the back and contributing to Lurch's defeat. But it does not make up for your past actions in the last 30 years. All I can say is, I welcome the MORE CONSERVATIVE Johnny Isakson to the Senate. It's not much, but it's a step in the RIGHT direction if you had voted like a true conservative, we could have gotten a real successor to Paul Coverdell in that seat.

America has rejoined the contest for freedom, which is manifested in a new form called the Bush Doctrine. That is why the rejection of a Vietnam-tainted worldview in this election is so monumental. A bad idea must be weeded out before a good one can take root.

Amen. We're coming home. And, the socialists, communists and status quo crowd cannot handle the rejection. They are (finally) being silenced.

Zell is a GOOD Man. Anyone that denies him the honor he has earned by valuing this country more than Party isn't worthy to pick up his spitballs.

And it grew into the view that America was always the problem. Our enemies – never called Communists – were considered excessive reformers whose motives were noble

often called "progressives"
